Title: Erick Sermon - Focus ft. Quik, Xzibit production
Post by: WestCoasta on December 13, 2005, 05:29:35 PM
it says Erick Sermon produced this track with "additional" production by Quik

when I listen to it and listen to all the layers and shit I can't imagine that this isn't the other way around...  :eh:

certainly doesn't seem like Quik was in the backseat on this production

My impression was the Erick Sermon produced the track and invited Quik on it because it sounds so much like a Quik beat. Quik probably did the voicebox, sounds like his style.

it's a fact he did the talkbox, but listen to the bassline and that guitar sounding thingy and that whistling instrument and all that shit, it just seems to me like Quik did it and Sermon pitched in with some shit, not the other way around

It does sound like a quik beat I didnt even know Erick Sermon had any part in the beat wow. He probably borrowed his style real quik since quik was on the record.
