Title: Eminem Movie coming with Dre doing the Score....

Eminem fans are a bit closer to seeing an almost real Slim Shady on the big screen — the script for a semi-autobiographical film based on the rapper's life has been completed, and the project has lured an acclaimed director.

Curtis Hanson (who lensed the Oscar-nominated films "L.A. Confidential" and "Wonder Boys") will direct the flick, which will begin pre-production in the fall. Written by Scott Silver, who co-wrote and directed "The Mod Squad," it tells the tale of an aspiring white rapper growing up in a predominantly black neighborhood in Detroit. The character will not be called Eminem or Marshall Mathers.

A Universal spokesperson described the plot as a "provocative story of a young mans search for identity and sense of purpose. Through his music he learns to express his anger and frustration as he struggles to transcend his bleak circumstances."

It will not surprisingly have an all-star team composing the score, as Eminem and Dr. Dre have accepted the job, according to Universal.

The film is expected in theaters next year. Eminem and movie producer Brian Grazer ("How the Grinch Stole Christmas," "The Nutty Professor") have been in talks for some time about the project, which is being produced for Imagine and Universal(see "Eminem Discussing Movie Role, Releasing Action Figures").

Eminem is also expected to make a cameo in a comedy called "The Wash," starring Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre

yeah but what i like about this, is that he is apart of it..and it isnt like some unauthorized shit........so it should be real and true to the heart....

Let's hope it will be a dope film, but Dre doing score's thats good news. When the DVD comes out lets hope they have an isolate music score.

i might have to get a second job to support all the damn DPG member releases..plust dre and his aftermath releases..and all these damn DVD releases......
