He's Young and his fans are getting Restless. The Bay Area Mixtape King, Balance, is finally ready to drop his long awaited solo debut, Young & Restless, on his Ayindemusic label through SMC/Fontana/Universal Distribution. With Production from E-A-Ski & CMT, Damien Taylor, Left of The Frontline, Shonuff, Aristotle, and Erk Tha Jerk. And features from E-A-Ski, The Frontline, Chamillionire and Keak Da Sneak. What more can one ask from this New Bay representer?
As he is still finishing up the last few songs on the album to be turned so he can meet his release date of March 7th, 2006. When asked if he was going to be keeping the album more Bay oriented, Balance responded:
"Mainly, but the music sounds nation wide. I'm tryin to compete with the Juelz Santana’s, Saigon’s, Bishop Lamont’s, Glasses Malone’s."
Balance also told Dubcnn about some new songs he's been working on:
"I just did a song with Scipio called "New West," supposed to have all the New West cats. E-A-Ski’s album. Not too much. I don't wear myself out, feel me? I think that’s the number one problem Hip Hop faces."
It doesn't stop there, Balance is going to be writing a movie slated for release sometime in 2007. We asked where Balance would be in 5 years, he states:
"Screenwriting for my 1st movie called “Twelve.” [It’s] about a bank robbery going wrong...I don't wanna give the plot away, but it’s crazy. More than just a bank robbery."
Now onto the audio, Balance hit us off with a clean version of his new track, "Gotta Get It" produced by Oakland vet, E-A-Ski. Check it out below:
