if it wasnt sucha blowout he would have stayed in. but when youre up by 30 points, and leave your star in to try and keep scoring as much as possible, its like showing up the other team. It wouldnt be so bad if the game was against the Raptors. But theyre gonna see Dallas again this season, and theres always a chance they meet in the playoffs if the Lakers make it. Dallas would remember Phil showing em up like that.

again...on Cold Pizza, the same person i mentioned before in that Clippers thread mentioned how in LA, people are huge Kobe supporters. But around the rest of the country he's still trying to win back fans. people (other then Laker fans) dont really consider him the best all around player in the league. I guarentee you there are more people out there right now thinking Lebron is the best in the league, then there are people saying Kobe. Theres at least 3 or 4 players right now who are regarded as the best, before Kobe...right now. Ive never compared Wade to Kobe. I like Wades game...but i dont even see him as on Lebrons level yet. I agree with Nik: defence was the key, more than Bryant's Jordanesque performance. They gave the ball to Kobe, to do whatever he wanted to do, ok. But on the other side they played great team defence. Only 62 points scored by the Mavs in the first 3 quarters of the game. They got fucked in the ass badly. Again.

The reason why Kobe scored 62 points was because he made 22/25 free throws. He made 18/31 shots.
31 shots is pretty much par for the course as far as the amount of shot attempts Kobe attempts in a game. He made something like 58% of his shots and 88% of his free throws. Kobe got his points within the confines of the offense, insted of the shooting binge he was on during the first road trip in November, which ended in 9/32 games and disaster.

As for "feeding the hot hand", 18-31 isnt THAT hot lol. like someone else said, its mostly because of the free throws that he scored so much. 22 made free throws in a game is a ton. 31 shots through 3 quarters is WAY too much tho unless youre in the zone. So he shouldnt be puttin up those kind of attempts on a regular night.

yeah i dont see him as a ballhog for scorin the 62. dont get me wrong, he isnt the most unselfish player in the league LOL. but at least they were winning the game. if he scored 62, and they were gettin their ass kicked then that would have been a problem. man you're such a fool. If he had played the whole game, it would have been the 2 nd perf of all time behind Wilt one.
