i was going to post this up at the beginning of the season, the list looked different then though. but i thought it was misleading. this obviously isnt a list of who the top players are, but a list of who has to do the most for their team. a superstar with an outstanding group around him, wouldnt get a high rating. but a superstar, with a weak supporting cast would be putting up incredible numbers all around.

Duncan isnt even that good.. been saying that for years.. as for Garnett, he fell off. Not cause he aint got skill no more, but cause he's unmotivated and frustrated with his crap team and the fact that he will never get a ring as a leader.
LeBron and Iverson are off the hook, eat a dick if ya disagree.

Through those Hollinger type stats, Duncan has been in the top 3 for the past few years except for this year.

Secondly, when I said that I didnt mean that he doesn't deserve his MVP titles, rings or constant All-Star appearances, but that he's simply far from the last man standing when it comes to the question of who's the best player in the league.

Experts use these stats to pick out MVP's and etc. They;'ve been using em for a couple of years. However, your favorite player kobe is still #1 in total Usage rate (a fancy termf or ball-hogging)

naw, he was on it in the "projections" before the season for this list. I believe he was second or third. Lebron was number one, and i think Garnett was 2 or 3. i just dont always go on lists like this...if i did, i would have posted it at the beginning of the season when i saw Duncan rated so high...and to be honest, Kobe was really low. but it didnt mean shit to me then, so it doesnt now either. if this list means alot to you...then go ahead and give up on your "Lebron/Kobe" argument. Honestly tho, look at those top 5 and other then Wade, none of those guys have some sort of amazing cast around them. They HAVE to do everything.

Don't forget the most hated are people who are on top. Plus I don't need these stats to know Brand is a very good player, still had impressive numbers and no recognition

How many times we have to explain you this thing. It doesn't mean role players who have lots of rings are better than all stars who have none. When you want to compare some players who nearly are the same level , rings ARE a factor whether you want or not

Not only rings. It's the ability to play like a true superstar when the ball is hot. Wade is a great player, but in the 4th quarter of last years Game7 against Detroit he sucked. LeBron is a great player but he hasn't made a play off game yet. They both should prove to be real superstars in those kind of games. Kobe already did it. He won 3 rings and a half. He's already a certified 100% superstar.

You know what makes my eyes bleed? When you say rings, the main accomplishment and what everyone plays for in the NBA, makes no difference in a players ability. If Jordan wasn't Jordan, he wouldn't have 6 rings. If Kobe was Wade, he'd have maybe 1. RINGS, CHAMPIONSHIPS, WHAT YOU HAVE UNDER YOUR BELT MAKES YOU WHO YOU ARE AS A PLAYER...Of course that doesn't mean Robert Horry is better than Charles Barkley, but Charles Barkley was the leader of his team while Horry was a role player...Horry has a more impressive resume and that adds to his name, but when a player like Kobe or Duncan wins rings, it just adds to their greatness a whole lot. They've worked hard to achieve their goal, they got what they were going for, while players like Wade and LeBron haven't...So stop being an idiot and acting like winning a championships has nothing to do with how good you are...You have to be great to lead your team to a championship, and that's what Kobe is...Great.
