Title: Keak da Sneak - super hyphy
Post by: herpes on December 21, 2005, 06:04:44 PM
ight ive only heard some stuff from out the bay san quintin and e40, both of whom i think are wack, especially san quintin, i got his first album used for like 2 bucks, i think i shot it with a bb gun 2 weeks later.  But i see some people on here talkin about keak da sneak and how good the bay area is n i heard this song 2day.  That song was horrible, do people actually like this shit.  or do you cats from the bay area just support a rapper b/c they are from the bay area regardless of how wack they are.

The only artists out the bay ive really listened to was Mac Dre, Mac Mall, E-40, The Team, and The Luniz and those are all good artists. I don't think you've listened to enough E-40 to just say hes wack.

just because you dont understand the style doesnt mean it's wack

san quinn, e40, keak da sneak are all very good
but i see how some people wouldnt get keak da sneak and e40, their styles are very unique

San Quinn is wack? I can't tell. Quinn, 40, and Keak are 3 of about 4 or 5 rappers left that I can stand to listen to. Superhyphy is a heater. Its true folks in the Bay support their own a little more than outside artists, but name a region that doesnt. I aint mad atcha cause everybody got their own taste, but I'm just curious, if you think Quinn and 40 are wack then who do you like?

^^^Come back when you've heard Live & Direct, The Hustle Continues, I Give You My Word and Messy Marv & San Quinn - Explosive Mode. And I'm pretty sure not liking E 40 is just a East Coast bandwagon thing. I think 40 is the most creative and best rapper alive personally. My boy on the East Coast has been shooting a hip hop documentary and when they interviewed Rock from Heltah Skeltah he agreed about 40 and went as far as to say that the Bay makes some of his all time favorite rap music.

if his style is the same on those albums you listed as his first, why even waste my time listening to it.  And i dont give a shit what rock from heltah skeltah thinks, he likes 40, i still think 40 is wack as fuck.  How is it a eastcoast bandwagon thing, b/c majority of new yorkers dont like it it means im on a bandwagon, fuck out here.  I dont let other people dictate what music i listen too.  If someone says something is a good i'll give it a chance but besides that im not goin like or dislike something b/c its the popular opinion

The remix is probably my favorite song, or at least one of my 3 favorite songs of the year. It is just a fun azz, hype, funny, dope ass song to me. The beat is sick and definitely gets most people movin, and the hook is infectious as well as a lotta the lines on there.

i give credit to the bay for tryin to do there own thing n atleast having the balls to do something different and original while most of rap is stale an generic now a days but it dont make it good music, it still sounds like garbage.  And i give bay area fans props for supporting the bay area and promoting it, i wish more new yorkers were still like that with ny rap.

lol, you went at it all wrong, San Quinn's 1st album isn't for everybody, it's not the real Quinn you hear these days. And Keak is definitely NOT for everybody either, especially an east coast head that doesn't understand the hype we're on out here.

Anyway, check out my group's snippets Tom, new generation bay shit.

Yall trippin.  I love this song.

They got a real movement goin on out there and its great to see them reinventing themselves.  The Bay has always been about setting trends.

I think all the bay shit is tight nigga. But I cant understand what the fucc Keak is sayin in the song. When Yuk rhymes i can understand what he is saying. When E-40 Rhymes i can understand what hes saying. Im From L.A. but I love the Bay and I love alot of these rappers. but I think Keak is garbage. And especailly in this song his voice is so raspy that i cant understand one fuccin word.
