anyone heard the version of this that is different to the one that was released on DR greatest hits?

when i was in LAX i was listening to a version of smile that was on the radio, it was MUCH MUCH MUCH better than the original.

im not too sure if scarface was on the other v

i think the DR Greatest Hits v is a remix

anyone else heard the original?

What you heard was the version on Scarfaces album. It played 24/7 back in 97 and is one of the best songs released after 2Pac's death.
