Post by: hempside on January 06, 2006, 03:43:31 AM
Tight lp....as far as club bangers, and feel good music, and pulling some hoes.I would  put this cd up against all this other watered down "club"music....young ,Rich ,and Dangerous...what yall think.

i remember hearing 'Tonights the Night' (i think thats what its called) on radio once, and i liked the track.
it had a smooth laidback beat and the rhymes were simple yet cool

i was surprised to hear it was Kris Kross..................but it was a good track

This album is way underated.  When people think of Kriss Kross they always want to make a joke about it and talk about them from when they were little kids in their "Jump" days.  But when I think of Kriss Kross I think of the "Young, Rich, and Dangerous" album they put out in 1995.  That was like a playa's anthem for me back in my jr. high/early highschool days when I was in my mack phase, and all I was concerned about was pullin bitches.  Those days are a distant memory, but that album was one of my favorites back then.

If you knew anything about the man in my avatar you would have never made that comment.

Imam Jamil Al-Amin is the man in my avatar.  He converted to Islam in the late 70's while serving time as a political prisoner.  Even before that his name used to be H. "Rap" Browne and he was a revolutionary icon for African American's in the 60's.

In his first book he wrote before converting to Islam, he discusses his childhood, and being a mack and a player, and how even at the age of 8 years old they didn't play hide-and-go-seek in the hood like white boys do, they played "hide-and-go-get it", and the girls would hide and if you found them then you went up in them.

Even after becoming a Muslim, I'm sure he's gotten more ass then you'll ever see in your life, only now he does it by Allah's law, in marriage.  I was into being a player and all that stuff before I became a Muslim.  A Muslim doesn't have to be deceptive and be a player.  He can go get himself a wife anytime, and the Qu'ran allows the man up to 4 wives, provided he treats them equally.
