SINCE THE START OF THE DOGG POUND IDOL CONTEST, I HAVE BEEN BOTH EXCITED AND ENERGIZED.
FOR MANY YEARS, I HAVE WANTED TO WORK SIDE BY SIDE WITH KURUPT AND DAZ, SNOOP, NATE, AND SOOPAFLY
I first received word that i was a finalist on about 11/15/06. This was a pivotal turn in life for me, immediately canceled all of my shows, studio appointments, and video shoots to dive back into my dogg pound collection and really understand what i was getting myself into.
My hour long drive to work became a class assignment, like DOGG POUND 101. Sure I'm a DAZ, AND KURUPT fan, but to be part of the DPGC takes a whole different frame of mind. These a men literally hustling 24-8, if that was possible.
I tuned everything out, and began freestyling over tracks that they had recently came out with.
11/19 i RECEIVED THE FIST OFFCIAL INSTRUCTIONS ABOUT THE CONTEST, I immediatley called my best friends in california, and explained what had takend place. they were as excited as i was. ya see for years we've had a rap group called the fpg's, frogg pound gangstas (i know, silly huh), that turned into a gang out there in seattle, wa. but we were modeled directly after the DPGC'S. THIS WAS TRULY A MONUMENTAL DAY IN MY LIFE.
11/20 I THINK AROUND THIS TIME, I CALLED THE NUMBER SUPLIED FOR BIG A. I JUST WANTED TO KNOW THAT THE DREAM I WAS HAVING WAS REAL. I THINK WE TALKED FOR MAYBE 35 SECONDS, BUT IT GAVE ME MORE INSIGHT ON THE TASK AT HAND. BIG A SEEM TO BE A REAL COOL brotha.
From 11/20-12/20 My nerves were shot, ididnt hear much about the contest so i was just writing lyrics, and praticing my freestyle. I started promting the fact that i was the next DPGC Idol everywherei could, i even through up a few myspace sites to ensure that they didnt pick me in vain. check out www.myspace.com/crippncuzzins when u get a chance. I immediately sent back the dvd videos i had out to Compton, so that i could really get a junp on the other contestants. I was checking out there websitea, and myspace sites to see there strengths and weaknesses. I think all of the contestants have drive, energy, charisma, and strong will. Ittakes a whole lot of all of this to keep up with the DPGC. I believe i do have what it takes, by watchin DPG all these years, hearing there beefs, and triumphs throught the streets and magazine interviews, and just understanding the struggle of being the worlds best, and most freshest RAP GROUP. WE DA GANG, THE MASH AND BLAST TO MAINTAIN!!!
