Mobb Deep's LP is a Mobb LP, meaning that all the people who feared that the group was going to drastically switch up its style because it signed to G-Unit can stop worrying. Havoc and Prodigy are giving you the vintage talk over some ill production. There's a record called "Pearly Gates" with 50 Cent that's both dope and controversial, with the three MCs talking about going to heaven. And P is spitting as hard as he was in the Hell on Earth and H.N.I.C. days on one song that has him rhyming about his name. Lunacy!
The Mobb say they have a mixtape coming out soon, and if you've been listening to the underground circuit, you know there's been some jabs both blatant and subliminal being thrown by the Mobb and at the Mobb. We went through the laundry list and asked them about each one.
On the possibility of being involved in 50 Cent's beefs:
Prodigy: "We don't give a f---. We do us, Mobb Deep. We don't care about nobody else really."
Havoc: "We're here to make that music. If people want to hate and involve us, it's whatever. But at the end of the day, we're here to make that music."
On being called out by the Game:
Havoc: "I never worked with Game. I gave Game a track. I don't know nothing about him other than what I see him doing with all the off-the-wall remarks. He don't know me. Everything coming out of his mouth talking about me is false. He never met me a day in his life."
On their one-time good friend and collaborator, Nas:
Prodigy: "Basically, like I said, we don't give a f--- about nobody else. What happened in the past is the past."
Havoc: "We don't have no communication."
On stirring things back up with Jay-Z:
Prodigy: "I take my shots and, whatever, [Jay] takes his shots. What is he gonna do?"
Havoc: "Basically we're here to do this music. Rap is competition. Hopefully it's all done tastefully. And we're here to make good records at the end of the day. When you hear that album, that's all you're gonna think about." ...

Is Mobb Deep really coming out with this new album in March? That's what I've been hearing, but I have a lot of trouble believing it. I ain't gonna believe it till I see it.

^all albums seems to get pushed back these days and Olivia havenīt dropped yet and her shit was supposed to drop 6 months ago. these days itīs impossible to predict when somethingīs gonna drop.

Well, there is one difference: Olivia had two singles out that completely failed to blow up. Mobb Deep has already had one hit with the "Outta Control" remix (even if that was also 50's song), so maybe 50's prioritizing them 'cause they seem most profitable right now compared to anyone else signed to the label.
But yeah, I think you're probably right that Mobb Deep's album is going to get pushed back. G-Unit hasn't even started the publicity campaign for the album or released new singles (unless "Have A Party" is supposed to be the first), so it doesn't make sense to me that they'd be ready to put out a new album in only 2 months.

the disses on Destroy and Rebuild was an answer to some shit P said. and of course aint nobody above being dissed but Pīs gonna turn into a little faggot again when Nas rips him. just like the little faggot he turned into when Jay-Z crushed him and when Nas sonned him.

Lots of people have been takin shots at Nas lately. P needs to worry about and focus on himself, and why his raps fell off. Nas doesn't really need to address P right now, if nothing else other than to not play G-Unit's game of pre-album hype beef. Actually, they should each let their next release do the talking. My money is on Nas.

its not about his diss tracks, its about his music in general. at the end of the day - Nas is the best rapper alive. id put my money on him against any of these fags that are takin shots at him (50, Prodigy, Lil Wayne, Jermaine Dupri, etc)

well they squashed it and then Lake robbed P at Nas' Central Park show and then they started beefin again. kinda strange when you think about it coz Nas and Lake got problems with eachother now aswell. itīs a mystery to why they started to beef in the first place but Nas addressed some of it on Destroy and Rebuild.

Cause P's an easier target. Anyone with an illness like sickle cell is an easy target...given how egocentric the rap game can be, muthafuckas will pick on anyone they think is vulnerable. And P kinda set himself for it by making some of the most gangsta shit to come out of NY in spite of how obvious it is that he could never be a thug. He even looks scrawny in pics, whereas Havoc looks like the kinda nigga you wouldn't want to mess with.

Yeah, loc (are you really even a true?) Pac's music was incredibly personal; it reflected how introspective and intelligent he was, it wasn't just some act to get paper. That's what made him a "real" nigga - he may not have banged, but his way of keeping it real was to pour his heart and emotion into his lyrics. Mobb Deep's shit is more like a crime drama - but them cats is still actors. It's still great music, but that doesn't make it "real" at all. I'm not hating on them, tho.

Yea i am a true Loc. I was just giving my opinion about how to me it seems like Hav is more real then P. I was just stating my opinion. Maybe most of there shit is made up, whatever then there great story tellers. I know Hav is from the hood so i believe alot of the shit he be speaking. You dont know if he real or not.
