In Philly, DJ Cozmic Kev just premiered this new joint from Cam that's comin' at Jay-Z. I don't know the title but the shit's hot and to the point. People keep callin' in to hear it over again. It'll be over the net by tomorrow or even tonight, somebody had to burn it. But it's official, there's a new beef in hip hop.

After years of denying an apparent mutual disdain for each other, Cam'ron and Jay-Z appear on the brink of a full-on battle, and MTV News has exclusively obtained a listen to the opening salvo: a Cam dis track against Hov called "You Got It."
The seven-minute cut starts out with Cam outlining five reasons for his attack on Jay, including accusations that the Def Jam president stole the Roc-A-Fella empire and Kanye West from ex-partner Dame Dash as well as the Rocawear clothing line.
Further into the track, Cam spits, "You ain't the only one with big wallets/ Got it/ My sh--'s brolick/ But ya publishing should go to Miss Wallace/ ... Down at Jeezy's video/ I shoulda kissed you on the cheek/ You's a pretty ho'/ I left the label right/ Lotta cats wonder how/ Every time I dis that label I get fined a hundred thou."
In the upcoming March issue of XXL magazine, which features Cam'ron on the cover, the Harlem native sheds light on where things began to fall apart with Jay-Z. "The real problems began when Jay went away and Dame was talking about making me president. When Jay came back, he had an attitude," Cam told the publication. Cam told the publication. "He said to [Beanie Sigel] something to the effect that he didn't feel comfortable with what Dame was trying to do."
Cam'ron also takes time on "You Got It" to address Jay's girlfriend, Beyoncé. "Beyoncé, fiancee?/ Check my second LP/ I might bring her back/ That's your girl, that's your world/ Had the thing f---ing singing 'bout slinging crack!" The clip ends with Cam playing his 2000 collaboration with Beyoncé on the song "Do It Again."
It's not yet clear whether the dis record will appear on Cam's upcoming Killa Season album.
A spokesperson for Jay-Z could not be reached for comment.

Well obviously Killa Season is dropping soon, so that explains the timing. The beat is ridiculous - did Heatmakerz do this? Cam didn't really kill Jay in his raps, but was clowin pretty hard on the ad libs.
I can't front though, Cam is one of the most charismatic rappers today. His ear for beats is damn good too - you could spit straight doo doo on some of these beats and its gonna come off nice (which is evidenced by 90% of dipset rhymes).
When he kept calling Jay ugly at the end, he actually made me laugh out loud.

Cam'ron Explains Beef With Jay-Z

Rapper Cam'ron has further clarified his position against Island Def Jam president/rapper Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter, after the Harlem native recently released the dis track called "Gotta Love It."
Cam'ron alleged that Jay-Z's declaration of peace with Nas in October 2005, was initially meant to destroy the credibility of his own Diplomats crew.
Cam'ron told Miss Jones and the Hot 97 morning show team the culmination of his grievance in the weeks leading up to Jay-Z's "I Declare War" concert, which was hosted by rival station Power 105.
"The last straw was that station down the dial [Power 105 and] he supposed to ["declare war"], where he is supposed to be dissing everybody he had a problem with," he explained to Miss Jones, DJ Envy and others. "So you know leading up to the concert, I got Dame calling me like, 'He's trying to get old footage of you of when you and Jim got jumped and he's trying to find Jim's Catholic school pictures.' So leading up to this concert, we had to get on point, you dig? I don't know whatever he was looking for, you ain't gonna find it."
Jay-Z and Nas' peace treaty was applauded by the Hip-Hop community, however beef with Cam'ron and his crew has quietly festered for many years.
Prior to the "I Declare War" concert, Jim Jones publicly dissed Jay-Z to Mad Linx when he was the host of BET's "Rap City."
"When [Jay-Z] became the President, that was our way out [of Def Jam]. We not with it at all, ya dig, and if you wanna go statistically, not even on just the fire part, just statistically, we sold more records than everybody up at Roc-A-Fella every time we came out with an album," Jim Jones said on air. "Why would we be with somebody that sell no records statistically? The Roc is over. It's more like a cubic zirconium. The diamond is crumbled."
Cam'ron also said problems arose when Jay-Z discovered plans to appoint him President of Roc-A-Fella, a position he turned down due to a disagreement over his proposed yearly compensation.
Cam'ron also denied that he slept with Jay-Z's girlfriend Beyonce, although he insinuated an act took place in his freestyle dis.
"This ain't noting personal toward her, but I know what hurts his heart," he said.
Still Cam'ron admitted that this was a war of words, not one he hoped would end in violence.
"At the end of the day, I don't want any violence. I'm trying to avoid it. It don't even make sense to do violence, we just trying to do music," Cam admitted.
Jay-Z wasn't available for comment at press time.

In a strange, albiet predictable move, former Roc-A-Fella artist, Cam'Ron, has picked a fight with Jay-Z, releasing a new dis track entitled "You Got To Love It", which is a full on attack at the Def Jam prez.
Among other taunts, Cam blasts Jay for "stealing" Kanye and Roc-A-Fella from Dame, but really has a shit fit over Jay wearing open-toed sandals (says the guy who rocks pink and purple) in a newspaper photograph. As to where this beef originated from, is unknown, but we can only expect it stems from the recent Roc-A-Fella split-up, which didn't work well in Cam's favor, like it did for Kanye.
