If it gets played a lot, I think so. A lotta people down south are feelin it, and LA is on it hard as hell. But a lotta people on the east don't like E-40, and most people who have never heard Keak before don't like him, and hate his voice and how he raps, sayin "I can't understand what the hell he's sayin". But it's gettin play in Florida, on radio and at clubs, and it's people who are down here tryin to Go Dumb and all that.

I see it getting some major spins thanks to the Lil Jon stamp behind it... But I honestly don't see it crossing over. E-40 and expescially Keak are way too unorthodox for the TRL/106 & Park (Is that show still on???) Crowds that run Hip Hop today. To the core Hip Hop fans though, it will be accepted more so than any other E-40 record since 96 or so.

i dont think the masses will accept it. no way in hell will all the mtv pop-ass people go from 50 cent, juelz santana, kanye, and young jeezy to e-40. unfortunate, but true.

Even if you don't like some of those artists you just named, you can't really knock them. There are many legitimate arguments that somebody could put up to why Kanye is better than E-40.

Jeezy is a "pop-ass" artist? LMAO. Just because he's on MTV doesn't mean he's the new Justin Timberlake. Dude talks about nothing but hood shit on his album. He is NOT pop. Neither is Juelz... Relax.

I think if they get some big names on a remix (fabolous, snoop) and shoot another video it could be a lot bigger.

or if it does end up being really big, they could do a remix with more Bay Area peoples like The Team, Turf Talk, Messy Marv sorta like what the Luniz did with I got 5 on It.

Either way, I think it's in need of a remix to be really big.

His style is unorthodox and just isn't gonna hit everybody. It's rappers that I like, but I realize that everybody else can't get into them because of what they talk about and because of their different styles....particularly Suga Free.

And Ja Rule's voice is just as rough as Keak's.

They could do a Bay remix, but this song has to be all Bay in my opinion. I couldn't see Fab on this beat at all, especially for the vibe of the track. I can't even see Too Short on it and he's Bay.

I don't think it needs a remix too much to be big though, but maybe a FEW adlibs from Lil Jon could make people in the south react to it some.

yo when i said before hes not "pop" like 50, juelz, kanye, or jeezy, i dint mean that from a sell-out standpoint (except maybe for 50). i mean his style is one that i just cant see getting accepted by the masses, unlike those of those other dudes. the other dudes are pop IMO cus they get 101 radio and TV rotation. dig?

you people are forgetting that BME & G-Unit have a promotional alliance. Lil Jon is the main guy in the south and fif & the Unit holds it down in NY. Theres a good chance itll blow up.

Snoop... LOL. Na. His name doesn't bring the crowd no more.

Remix it with Paul Wall, Bun B and Lil Scappy... Dudes will be in business. A Bay Remix of it won't take off because nobody will know who 98% of the people are. Whereas the Luniz got dudes like Digital Underground, E-40, Spice-1 etc. who were already known.

It was on 106 & park today as the new joint..it isnt anywhere near their best tracks, but it kinda gathers that entire bay concept with 2 of the biggest names from the bay to a lil jon beat, if the bay is gonna blow it will be from e-40s album

Kanye, maybe so. Im not feelin his shit too much cus i think he's overrated as an MC. His production is just different enough to be successful. But the others named....wack. Thing is, Hip Hop is basically...."pussified" now. If thas a word. Kanye is successful because females like his shit also. Your skill as an MC has NOTHING to do with record sales these days. Its all about the beat and the hook. Shit....u can have a tight beat and a catchy hook, and you wouldnt even have to speak for the rest of the song for the shit to go platinum.

real shit. i understand its about entertainin the crowd n all, and its a business. i dont think Rappers influence the audience, i think the audience influences the rappers nahmean? Since the rap audieince has changed so much over the years, the rappers gotta change their style to appeal to the fans now. Problem is, the fans used to be from the same places these rappers try to claim. Now, the fans are from the suburbs. So the rappers gotta be soft and make cute music in order to sell records.

Well the south is showin major love to it....I'm in school in Florida, and they play it at almost every event and I heard it at the club 3-4 times, and it's funny seein people in the south tryin to go dumb. But a lotta girls were just shakin their backsides to it, so yeah if it keeps gettin play this could definitely blow.

One thing I notice, which could be good or bad, is that people out here think the dances are funny, and some people do them in a mocking way since they don't know how to really do it. So that does sorta make it seem like a trend or like a dance that everybody does for a few months then it completely dies, and that's how most dances are in the south anyway. And that won't be good if the hyphy movement is just startin to pick up in the south now. But at least they are doin it and knowin about it....a year or two ago, they woulda been like "go dumb? go stupid? hyphy? what the hell are you talkin about?"

i wanna see somebody from the west bubble more then anybody man. but like i said, u learn from history. and i guarentee u even E-40 would tell yall not to get ahead of yourself with this. Hopefully it does turn into somethin huge as far as "the west comin back" shit. But i know u notice what im talkin about. Anytime any artist has a hit from out here, everybody is on some "the west is comin back" shit. Its gonna take way more then ONE artist to make it happen. Its gonna come when several westcoast artists are gettin airtime in NY and the South at the same time. Major airtime i mean. And history tells us, NY wont let that happen in there area. They will give a little shine to show they arent biased, then pull the plug on it with tha quickness if theres a chance it outshines any of their artists. They do that, we dont. Thats where we're losing.

The same ny companies was playin us in the 90's. All it takes is for 1 or 2 cats to kick the door in, then everybody else can run in and raid the fridge.

they were, thats my point. and im sure u remember when the momentum shifted and they took over. how do u think that happened? they kept the west out of the spotlight in NY. I believe Bow Down was number one song in the country when it came out, and it was gettin no spin on NY radio. Theyve always done shit like that after the early 90's. Even 40 complained about how when his track "Automatic" was out, feat. Fabolous....on Hot97 they played the song, but would only play Fabolous's verses. Im not sayin we cant take this shit over again. Im just sayin we wont take over when success is measured by how much airplay we get in NY or the South. its about how much airplay we get in Kali. Fuck the rest. If we did what they do, we would be fine. They completely overdose their audiences with their own music so much that they have to hear it. u hear somethin enough, it grows on u. if u dont hear somethin, you are far less likely to go buy it. out here in Kali we play down south music more then we play our own shit. we even give NY their fair share of airtime. but out there, who do u think gets the airplay? not us. like i said, i hope 40 hits big with this shit. but Kali needs to flex its muscle more and support all their artists. We're the most populated state in the country by FAR. yet with this hip hop shit, we bring up the rear right now. Theres no excuse for that shit yah know?

TeeRaySix9Teen speaks the truth. Props to him. How the west coast gonna go anywhere when radio stations will never play our own shit? How the west coast gonna go anywhere when people in Cali hating on there own shit? Every time there is a new artist from the west all I ever hear from people is that they weak.  It's fucked up. Why should the eastcoast give a fuck about the west when the west don't give a fuck about themselves? I wanna go and slap the taste outta the people that work at the radio stations in San Diego for all the wack shit they keep playing.

For an "update"....

Me n my homeboys from Compton had a house party out here in Florida tonite, and I played this song twice. It got a great reaction from the females, and only one of them was from California. So yeah...this shit definitely has what it takes to blow, I am sure. Even more so than all of 40's other songs.

yeah Z90 is garbage. But they DID get a little better about playin Kali music since 98.9 started up. 98.9 made that strong push at the beginning about playin local artists and doggin Z90 on air cus they didnt support Dago. So Z90 had to step up. But all that calmed down, and they still playin bullshit now. I was just in LA tonight (Saturday) and shit, theyre stations are just as bad....if not worse. In a span of about 45 minutes, i think i heard one...MAYBE two westcoast songs on 100.3 and power 106. The rest was all down south music.

Hmm...that sounds exactly like what happened when KDay dropped. KDay came out sometime last year or maybe late 2004, and they played a LOT more west coast music, old school and new, and some independents and upcomings, so Power n The Beat tried to step theirs up a little bit. But KDay started playin more down south n all of that, and Power n The Beat still don't play too much west coast like they should. It really depends on the DJ and what show it is though. I think it's smart for KDay to play a bit of mainstream south n east, just because there are some people in LA who'd prefer listenin to that over most west coast, but at the same time you are feedin them old and new west coast to where they aren't overdoin it and those people start to appreciate and like west coast music.
