It all Depends on the situation at hand, now if you are really out there on them streets and a problem occurs Between a Sureno Gang and a Black Gang be it Blood, Crip, Piru,Brim,stone whatever The Gang is and something jumps off( killing, beat down, Drug malpractice) Then it's Damm near ON ON sight in a Micro world of the streets you may feel it's the sureno's versus all Blacks which realistically might not be the case but to the individual who lives in the streets it might seem magnified to that extreme level in his or her mind because when something jumps off negative on the streets you are in a premptive strike mode because alot of wannabees as well as front liners on both sides are looking to up their rank so you have to be on guard against the inevitable and in that micro world these events spread like wild fire and in the indivuals mind he may think it's a WAR. Now in jail it's a whole different story, The politics from jail dictate the vibrartions on the street from the simple fact that when you are out there on them streets you are a few wrong steps away from jali and the powerful on the street keep their power strong even when they go to jail their congregations go back 30 + years still intact, so this what gives jail the advantage in the streets.

Let me tell you something that an OG told me last year when he came out of the prison: The soldiers on the outside are the "oil" that keeps the machine rolling, but the inside is the brains, the engine, without the inside, there wouldn't be no outside. So if you want to know who's getting along with who, you have to look at what's happening on the inside. And right now, it's all bad. Why? because shit's all changing. In the past decade there's been a "Black N Brown" unity in the North, that is why you see Mexicans out here really adapting to the Hip Hop culture, they don't act "cholo" around here, there is no use of the word "ese" or non of that, because that is what "scraps" do, aka Surenos (Southerners). It's funk on sight with southerners, it happens every single day. There is some neighbourhoods that keep it ol school like that, but they're not near urban communities. They united with the black folks because of the fact that the bay is really really diverse, there are Norteno sets within black hoods and vice versa, so there's no reason to war, why not get this money together? But recently, it's shifted a bit, because the Nuestra Familia in jail (who controls the Nortenos) got indicted and 5 of the main leaders on the inside got federal cases put on them and were sent to a prison in Colorado. So the leadership has changed in the past year and everything is fucked, every county in the north got new leaders on the inside, and the leaders on the outside don't know who to even listen to anymore. Anyway, long story short, the new leadership is apparently going at it with the blacks. And San Quentin is the only Prison in California that the Nuestra Familia has full power in, they rule the place, and now they going at it with the blacks causing all these riots to clean out garbage I guess. But it shouldn't be happening and I'm sure the real leaders ain't down with this type of shit because that's what a "scrap" does, we ain't suppose to be playing the race card up here. It's making its impact slowly on the outside too, alot more gang related "black v.s latino" homicides are happening. But is it as bad as Southern Cali? hell naw, not even close, but who knows what the next generation got in store.

I wouldn't call mexicans from the north wiggers because they say nigga or rock Braids and Du rags, It's a matter of collective culture here. Back in the day in southern california the surenos and Black Gangs both shared hoods together in peace up until the unification of black gangs from the LA riots in 92, This along with Drug trade competition which went togther ended the peaceful cooperation of sureno and blacks . Before this period blacks and Sureno's protected each other hoods and they both exchanged symbols styles of dress and language forms from each other's culture. Black Gangs specificly the Crips borrowed mexican Terms loco or in english (crazy) as Tags for our Gang names,Crips wore suspenders a style of Dress Borrowed from sureno G's, low riding common love amongst the two cultures was also shared, In exchange sureno's Bumped music from the black culture such as roger troutman and other old school funk artists which created a collective culture. There still are some effects of this phenomenon but it is shunned by sureno's and in jail forbidden. Now in Northern california this collective culture still is present and you do see norteno's say nigga and act in a manner of an african american individual, but at the same time blacks behave in ways that display the nortenos mexican influence that has rubbed off on them.
Noretnos gangs in sacramento Fresno and stockton carry themselves as would a Bounty hunter blood from losangeles. The norteno in sacramento say Blood, They wear Red and allot of their hoods are in Blood neighborhoods controlled by black gangs. Nortenos are out numbered compared surenos in the california streets as well as the prison system, It's similar to how Bloods are outnumbered to crips LA, outnumbered but not out Gunned and not by any means it won't be shank Ya cut Ya beat down, cake walk stroll in the park.

here i'm going to tell you the honest to god truth, i have cousins who actually died from gang banging in LA and i have uncles who USE to gang bang and i have a couple of cousins who THINK they're gangbangers. i'll straight up say FUCK GANG BANGING, ITS RIDICULOUS! way back in the day it was necessary.....but it wasn't so much about"banging" or organized crime and selling drugs or doing dumb shit, it was about protecting your neighborhood. no with guns , and people weren't killing their own and others over the color of your clothes.....it was about community and actually building a better place for your fam and the people in your neighborhood.
now i guess you can say the whole mexicans vs blacks came in about when blacks from the south started to move out to the west coast in record numbers around the 30's to work in the docks in long beach and other areas. Employers were willing to hire blacks over mexicans because blacks were willing to do the same amount of work for less pay. many mexican MEN took this in the wrong way saying 'they're taking our jobs' instead of blaming the employers who were doing this. But then after the black and mexican communites started to get closer you'd see a lot of black culture starting to use things from mexican culture and claim it as their own. (kinda how blacks claim whites stole rock music) this pissed off a lot of mexicans and for years it's been going back and forth with petty shit like this. if you talk to a older black person or an older mexican man ....they're the most racist people i know.
It's mostly an old school mentallity for the MOST part. but if you're mexican and are out with your friends or family and see a black person it's not an automatic tension like their is with whites and blacks. BUT if someone in your family or circle of friends says something like "look at that nigger" or "fuck that nigger" no ones going to care or say "don't say that" ....same with blacks though. but like i said it's mostly an OLD SCHOOL mentallity ....but depending on how you were raised or how it's trickled down from your grand or great grandparents there's a lot less tension....but it's still around.

Depending on which hood the sets from they take up a different style of dress and slang. And one thing is that we didnt kiss anyones ass.. its just the politics in the system. The surenos green lighted asians bcuz some TRGs in long beach shot up some Mexican Mafia associate or something like that but as far as i know the green light is off now.

This thread just goes to show you who's really in the streets and who ain't. There are 20,000 Asians with gang profiles in California. 1/4 which are Crips & Bloods. In Long Beach, you have the Cambodian Crips. In Santa Ana, you have all the Asian Boyz which are crips. In LA you have all the asian crips who are connected in the pen. In the North, there's alot of em in Modesto (Bloods), and the East Bay etc. etc. But most Asian gangs are race gangs, like all the Vietnamese V-Boyz, Black Dragons, Wah Ching and Wo Hop triads in Frisco and LA which are all connected. They're just not as turf-oriented as all these other sets in the streets, but they get down and make more money than everybody else.

In L.A., there may be a few asian crips n bloods scattered around, but they definitely don't seem to be too involved with the black or even mexican gang scene that I see. You NEVER see them in the black neighborhoods gangbangin anywhere in L.A., Gardena, Hawthorne, Compton, or any of those cities. I can't speak too much about Long Beach or Lakewood because I don't spend too much time there, but I don't think they do too much there either. As far as jail, I donno who sides with who because I've never been and never want to go.

I have heard of the Pueblo's, but I donno anything at all about em. I am pretty sure it has to be somewhere on the eastside, maybe far eastside, where I rarely roam. I am in Watts every once in a while, and in certain parts of Compton. Other than that, I am always west of the 110 whenever I am in L.A. unless I gotta go to my aunt's shop at Pico and Central.

I don't think that was aimed at me at all. But even at that, I have only seen a few non-black bangers from blood and crip sets. I don't go to every hood like that, but I am always out and about in L.A. and I just speak from what I see. However, LOL to you mentionin "one" dude from each set. I have seen one white dude from 60s, but aside from that, I can barely recall seein any non-black crips or bloods inside of LA. I have seen em on TV and heard about em, but not too many in person. And I wasn't countin Samoans as asians.

Personally, I grew up in L.A. (Gardena) and I don't know too much of anthing about asian gangs. I remember hearin of Wa Ching a lot in the 90s because some asians at my schools were connected to them or used to play-claim it.
In L.A., there may be a few asian crips n bloods scattered around, but they definitely don't seem to be too involved with the black or even mexican gang scene that I see. You NEVER see them in the black neighborhoods gangbangin anywhere in L.A., Gardena, Hawthorne, Compton, or any of those cities. I can't speak too much about Long Beach or Lakewood because I don't spend too much time there, but I don't think they do too much there either. As far as jail, I donno who sides with who because I've never been and never want to go.
I live in Arcadia, a 70% Asian community in the San Gabriel Valley, and have seen these Asian gangs first hand. About 5 or 6 years ago, Wa Ching and other Asian gangs were running rampant and had influence on the middle schools and Arcadia High School. In 2001, they basically drove out all the Asian gangs from Arcadia to places such as Temple City and some parts of Monrovia.
Anyone who lives in Arcadia knows that First Ave Middle used to be a hotspot for Asian gangs. At nights, people go there to play pick up games because there are like 6 full basketball courts, but they also were used sometimes for gang activity. Mostly, the fighting is between different asian gangs and occasionally a Mexican gang.
To me, Asian gangs are ridiculous. Now I'm not a racist, in fact many of my friends are Asian, however it was hilarious to see a gang culture form in such a wealthy place such as Arcadia, especially considering many of the members came from rich families. I was glad to see the gangs driven out because it got to the point of
ridiculousness. That being said, there are occasionally gang related murders around Arcadia, and now with the mall expansion there is an increased amount of non-Arcadia residents causing trouble in the area.

Back to the topic, Im from the east bay and here it is so diverse that you can't turn around without seeing blacks, mexicans, whites, asians, and islanders. So beef is not race it is your group of people vs. another group, and sometimes it is a race thing but nothing like socal. MOST PEOPLE UP HERE JUST RATHER GET LIT THEN FIGHT. 8)

Yeah...it does seem like there are a lotta beefs between mexican and black gangs, but then the mexican gang will still be cool with a different black gang. I think it just all depends on the city or neighborhood you are in, because I have been in L.A. for 21 years (minus 7 semesters of college) and I have NEVER had any problem with any mexicans anywhere. Closest thing I ever had to a problem was when I was at the beach with a female and some dude walked by and lifted up his shirt to show his tattoos, and he said somethin that I didn't even know was a gang at the time.
However, I didn't go to any L.A.U.S.D. schools, so I missed out on the biggest thing that happens between mexicans and blacks with no gang affiliation or title...race riots in high schools. I live in Gardena down the street from Leuzinger in Hawthorne, and I know that they have a lot every year just as Gardena High, Inglewood high, and many other schools have over in my area. I hear that these turn into all-out wars, and it's basically one for all. Even the security guards get involved and take sides.
