Dead or Alive, and including bands

1. Elvis Pressley
2. The Beatles
3. Led Zeppelin
4. The Beach Boys
5. Hank Williams Sr.

or something like that, there's really about 50 bands or artists that you could convincingly say should be in a top 5.

Yup he's making 'his first public appearance since his trial acquittal' to receive some MTV Japan award 8)

But anyways if I was to make a list Michael Jackson would be #1 for sure and Tupac would be up there. Don't know who else.

^^^LOL.   David Bowie dresses up like a woman.  Prince sounds like woman and he sold out early in his carear (99% of his fans wear high heals).  I don't know who half the other guys on your list are, but even though I've never heard of him, I'm sure Stevie Ray Vaughan is probably from one of those 80's hair bands like Poison.

David Bowie dressing up like a woman, as you say, was a point of expressing himself artistically but I can understand why looking at it from a superficial standpoint you wouldn't understand, same with Prince. Stevie Ray Vaughan is seen as one of the most talented Blues guitar players of all time, including my his African-American peers.

^^LOL... That's pretty sad when your supposed to be a musical artist and the best way you can express yourself is by dressing drag to get attention.  That's actually displaying a lack of an ability to express oneself when you have to degrade yourself to femininity.

same with Prince.

Nikki Giovanni on Prince:

"Whatever turned that beautiful boy, the "rude boy", into a whiny symbol should rot in five different hells."

Comparing Prince to 2pac she said:

"2pac stayed fresh and strong and committed to himself and his people."

As far as David Bowie goes, that's your opinion based on a likely lack of knowledge of any of his work, which is fine with me but I thought the same until I actually listened to the music from that period of time.

And compared to Prince, 2Pac had zero talent. I like Pac, but Prince can play 29 instruments and has at least 2 widely accepted classic albums as far as the music scene as an encompassing group would accept.

4. Marvin Gaye (His Songs Had Purpose And He Had A Great Voice)
3. Foo Fighters (Never Fail To Make Good Music, Consistently)
2. Bob Marley (Who Doesn't Love Bob Marley?)
1. 2 Pac (His Lyrics Provoked Thought, Emotion And Action. A Very Intelligent Individual)

The band instructor at my highschool could play alot of instruments, what's your point?

Prince is a sell-out.  Nuff said.

Yes

Can you describe what makes him a sell out? I do believe he sold out but not until the 90s, but my opinion is based on actual knowledge of the music he had made.

If you already know he's a sell-out, then you shouldn't need me to explain it to you.  If you want my thoughts, then refer to the Nikki Giovanni quote.  The reason I quoted her is because she said something I agree with.

Eminem never sold out.  He actually retired to prevent himself from selling out.  He was smart enough to hang it up once he had nothing real to give.
