I hope Taylor beats Katherine no talent ass. She's up there because of her looks. Taylor at least has charisma and appears genuine.

They're both very talented, the difference between them is simply that Taylor knows who he is, and sings songs that he knows fit his voice and abilities. Katherine is just as, and vocally, probably much, much more talented than Taylor, but she oversings; chooses the wrong songs; does songs that don't mean anything to her, etc. tons of novice things that Taylor would usually not do because he's older and has performed much more. When Katherine is in her comfort zone, and singing a song in her range that fits her really quite beautiful voice, she is a phenomenal singer. The trouble for her is that Taylor is almost exclusively in his target range singing a song that's well crafted around his voice.
Taylor will easily win tonight, but Katherine will go on to huge success as a recording artist.

As opposed to getting famous by smapling old shit?
The voice is an instrument and can be a very beautiful and artistic instrument. Taylor has great talent and great charisma, he could become a real star but the American Idol songwriters could fuck it up. He needs songs a lot better and a lot different than the one they gave him for a single. You can't put a guy like Taylor with generic songwriters. You have to let him be the creative force. He actually has had two albums from '97 and 2005 and he is a songwriter. If you use outside songwriters you need to use people that can write his style, like Kenny Loggins, or Bob Seger. They ruined Bo by giving him watered down overproduced garbage and they can just as easily ruin Taylor.

I saw Ace on TRL on YouTube. It fit so well. I'm telling you, he'll be annoying guys, singing to teenage girls, and making millions before you know it. Hicks will sell to the adult market, but TRL will have Ace over Hicks quick. McPhee, she'll act and model, have a song or two, and her 15 will be up. Hicks will join Ruben and Fantasia in the adult section of Best Buy, and Ace will be in TRL every week. The two to really watch are Paris and Lisa. They are only 17 and 16. They both will be huge in 3 to 4 years.
