aight i know fake listings get posted all the time and im not saying this one is 100% but it comes from HMV's website, they dont normally put up a listing unless they know its real...

Seems a little early to have much of a tracklist. If it is real, probably 2 of those songs will appear on the official release. You're talkin' 4 months away, which will more than likely turn into 8-10 months.

For a double disc it was weak. And I love Nas, but I wasn't feelin that album like his previous.
There were a couple tracks I could have done without on SD. Mainly the one that featured Maxwell. But I thought the album was very good. Nas took a lot of risks in the styles he approached on this album. It's pretty difficult to put out that many songs at one time and completely avoid filler, but I thought he put some incredible songs on there.
Even though it was a double, it felt like a pretty cohesive album. He didn't go overboard with the producers, his lyrics were def on point, flow was tight, and gave you some shit to ponder. If you told me his next album was SD2, I wouldn't complain.
Having said that, I have NO idea where Nas is gonna take this next album. I read some shit in Rollingstone where they were talking about his production on the new album, and he mentioned Scott Storch, Just Blaze, Kanye, Neptunes. Now not that those guys aren't talented, but I'm not really looking for that from Nas because thats the shit we get from everybody else.
At the same time, before he signed to Def Jam there was tons of talk that the album was gonna only be production from Primo. It's also been confirmed that they've already done some tracks for this album.
The title of this album says a lot, but I still don't know if we're getting an album that completely bucks all the trends going on today, or if we're getting Nas' version of the Black Album.

1. Streets Disciple (like most double albums) would have been better if it was a single disc. Frankly the ONLY rap double album that can hold it's own is All Eyez on Me.
2. Chuck D is not a racist. Listen to his music, his interviews, his speakings, read his book. He's just an intelligent guy that calls it like he sees it.

I could care less about rappers being racist. I hold no regard for most of what else they say on record. One of my favourite rap albums is Death Certificate. That doesn't mean anything. I just enjoy listening to it. I do get a tad annoyed by Nas's Jesus complex though. I'm not offended as a Christian. I just think it's stupid and boring.
