You read right, a new West Coast supergroup has formed, consisting of Goldie Loc of Tha Eastsidaz, West Coast O.G. Brother Kam, MC Eiht of C.M.W., and Bigg Snoop Dogg himself. The project was brought into life by Snoop, and they have been hitting the studio, working on "The Warzone". We had the chance to catch up briefly with Goldie Loc to talk about it.
He let us know that they're about thirteen songs deep right now. Features on the album include the D.P.G., Ray J, Yo-Yo, Jelly Roll, with production by Goldie Loc himsef, Battlecat, THX & David Banner amongst others.
They are currently working on a deal for the record, we will let you know when it's finalized. Those of you who went to the D.P.G. show at the Roxy's last week saw Goldie Loc on stage performing the classic "G'd Up" with Snoop, so the two have officially back up.
Goldie Loc's partner-n-rhyme Tray Deee is still incarcerated, but they holla at each other regularily and keep in touch. Hopefully one day we'll be able to hear the duo wreck tracks together again.
We will soon have further details on the "Warzone" project for ya'll, for now check out an exclusive drop from Goldie Loc for the dubcnn visitors announcing the project:

Wow. If this comes to fruition, I'll give Snoop maaad props for doing this. Hopefully he uses his pull and gets good promotion and all that. They need to get some G-Dub production on there for sure.

Cant forget about his production skills. It'll be nice to hear Snoop over Goldie beats again. Remember Lifestyles Of A Gangsta? And If I'm correct, he produced that new Raje track "Honestly" that he's featured on. Goldie Loc can bring it on the boards as well as lyrically.
Oh yea, add "Lets Slide" to the list of dope Goldie Loc productions. Hopefully he comes with beats like this.

Yeah, unfortunately that was my first thought as well. I sincerely hope it WILL come out, but I doubt it...then again, Snoop is involved, and labels might show interest for it.
It's cool to see that Snoop hooked up with Kam. Maybe he can turn some buttons and help Kam getting a good deal for The Self.
I'm not too hyped about MC Eiht anymore though.

goldie is a very underrated producer, he produced sum bangin tracks on the eastsidaz album(the song dogghouse comes to mind as bein a cool track)

What was the name of this super group? I never heard of it. Since were on the topic of Super Groups that was talked about but never came out, lets make a list. Ill start with: (list member too.)

You can attribute GSW not working out to Ras Kass getting locked up and Saafir retiring (but apparently, he's back again). They didn't happen for actual reasons, not like certain "groups" that just don't happen period.

Thats cool that Goldie loc has been reaching out to tray deee, hopefully someone can put out a tray deee album. I mean he was in the rap game for 10 years and didn't put out an solo album, so I'm sure he has quite a few tracks recorded that have never been released.

I think Heltah Skeltah wouldve been crazy. Just think about that album dropping during Deathrows hay day..(with Sam Sneed production.) Like, what if they dropped it durning the summer of 96 when Pac was killin the charts. Deathrow wouldve been truly unstoppable if they'd released just half of what they'd promised back then.

i would say this would never come out but the fact Goldie sayin they already recorded 13 tracks sounds promising. Props to Snoop if he pulls this off.

Who hates on Eiht? Veteran's Day was weak, true. But look at "Affiliated" he sounds his best since 4-5 years. Affiliated is one of my favourite albums this year. Music To Gangbang 2006 is dope too. Just to hear songs like "Late Nite Hype 3" oder "She's Still A Rat" is great. Lynch / Eiht Kollabo was hot, I liked some of them, not all but enough to say that it worth to buy it. And, yes Spice 1 is dropping shit nowadays... but on his album with from this I liked 3 songs very much and that's enough for me.
