In the 80's blacks and latinos did, up until the mid 90's. Now it's mainly Mexicans and old school black people. Young black kids will wear the usual urban styles, like throwbacks (which was straight westcoast as everyone use to wear old Raider jerseys in the 80s and 90s) those crazy NBA style cloths, and basically whatever else you see on rap videos. Hell, people was wearing pink for a while, even some Mexicans. LOL

I wear khakis and I do own a pair of chucks. I don't see why people make a big deal about this. Khaki Dickies are regular ass pants. They are just tan and not denim. Chucks are chucks. Regular ass shoes to stomp around in that are cheap. No excuse to ever rock a pair of dirty Chucks because you can go buy new ones. Personally I rather wear skate shoes but that is me.

I also remember tons more khaki suits. White tees though, I always remembered them being either straight Mexican, so with the Dickies of course, or blacks would wear them with their color shirt under it. I remember white tees lately, like the past 5-6 years, as colors were dying out, and people just hustling without a click became more the norm. But in the old school, I remember blacks wearing colors and eses with the white tees. But then again, that was so long ago it's all cloudy.

since I was a youngen, I rocked a Raider's jersey or white tee, khaki pants, or some grey Dickies, and some Cortez, and I never had beef over what I wore. I could walk in Mt. Vernon in San Bernardino, or Casa Blanca in Riverside, and no one had beef even though I was wearing their uniform and I wasn't with there set. Most everything you do on the streets is not about cloths, it's about how you carry yourself. You sport Raiders jerseys in the MVR, you better come with respect for self and the local crew, and shit wouldn't happen. If you come disrespectful, or you come cocky, then you'd AT LEAST get an ass beating.
