From a historical standpoint it is this...long story short...
The middle east was at peace for 400 years under the Islamic Rule of the Ottoman Empire Kalifah. The Ottomans gave rights to Jews and Christians to their Holy places and their were also Jewish and Christian minority communities in the region living in peace. The Kalifah was destroyed during World War 1 and British became the colonial power over the Arabs living in Palestine. Then in 1948 the powerful white men in the UN got together and decided to officially dissolve Palestine and create in it's place the Jewish state of Isreal. Thus, the genocide was of many Arab Muslims, and in their place Jews made mass migration to the region.
Iran is a Muslim country. When people understand the Oneness of God, they understand the Oneness of man. So therefore, Muslims believe in one God, and have unity with other Muslims. Unlike other Muslim nations that are client states of the West, Iran is actually ran by Islamic scholars (ulama). So therefore, these Islamic scholars feel they have a duty to protect Muslims. So Iran has established an organization in Lebanon, next to Palestine/Isreal called Hezbollah, that defends Muslims in that region. Isreal obviously doesn't like this, and they even occupied Lebanon in the 80's with the help of America until Hezbollah miraculously drove them both out.
So anyway, Isreal is always expanding their territories and threatening the Muslims that surround them. While Isreal was conducting terrorist operations against Muslims, bombing them, assasinating them, killing 80 in a week; anyway, some members of Hezbollah in Lebanon decided to defend the Palestinians and retaliated against two Isreali soldiers. Well, Isreal is the strongest military in the whole region so they started showing a force of strength and bombing Lebanon fiercely.
Hezbollah was created to defend Muslims, so they are not going to sit back and do nothing, and even though they have little technological capabilities compared to Isreal, they only fear Allah, and therefore they are willing to die to defend Muslims.
Lastly, people want to know what's going to happen out of all of this. Allah knows best. Isreal and America probably want to engage Iran so that they can use it as an excuse to invade Iran, that's why they are saying that Hezbollah has sent two kidnapped soldiers to Iran, which doesn't make any sense.
Like I said, Allah knows best what will happen next, but naturally the media wants to keep the public in fear, so try to avoid being to quick to assume this is WW3.

but please don't just paint a one sided view of the whole conflict, that is just as bad as the tv - the same day hezbollah captured the first 2 israeli soldiers was the same day iran had been given a deadline suspend enrichment and agree to talks, additionally the G8 meeting in russia was going to focus on iran, now everyone is focusing on palestine and hezbollah. this just seems a little more than coincidental i'm sure hezbollah wanted to give this gesture of support to the palestinians but would they really have done so if the world wasn't just about to focus on iran. Let me tell you something that is basically common sense to anyone who has read anything about history, and basically this destroys your whole argument.... From the 7th Century all the way till the 18th Century Muslims had the wealth, technology and prosperity while Western Christian society was experiencing their dark ages.
Islam had no problem spreading under that context. Islam has been around since the beggining of time. It's submisison to the Creator. This religion survives everything because at the core it's not contigent on any person, place, or event, it is only contigent upon the Absolute-Eternal-Creator.

Now most of ya'll know that I hardly ever visit this board anymore, the main reason I am here now is because of the cipher I was part of along with Infinite posted up at the lab. I retired from TOT a long time ago because of a number of reasons, the most prominent one being the amount of bullshit that goes on here.

That's not something that I expect you to say, or sit quiet about if it was the other way around.
Just because you know some Sikhs from Tdot, doesn't mean you know pure Sikhs, or know anything about the faith or culture. When I came to Canada that's one of the first things that I noticed, how misguided and backward the majority of Sikhs here are, something that I also noted about many Afghans. If you want to meet some "pure" Sikhs, maybe you should go to Punjab, and try and talk your shit there. Oh and fuck Khalistan too (and I don’t give a shit if Sikhs here disagree with me, I don’t got time for it), it is a meaningless "struggle" perused by rebels without a cause that doesn't mean shit to any "pure" Sikh. You don't understand what Khalsa is, so don't speak on it. A true Sikh does not tie his belief down with a materialistic shrine, we don't believe in idol worship of any sort, you know, maybe an education on the faith might help. I am not an imam, so I don’t speak ignorantly on Islamic issues. I give you that much respect, maybe you should give me mine. Remember, just because one is aggressive, and fights against a majority, doesn't necessarily mean that the person is somehow righteous.
Oh and by the way, you have the balls to throw insults at prophets of another faith, that shares most of it's fundamentals with yours, but at the same time you're one to allow insults against your prophet, is that right? Does that make sense to you? Can you understand what is going on here? And if you learn your history right, sacrifice doesn't mean they got "smashed on" by Muslims, if that was the case, Sikhism would not exist. Any true follower of the faith knows that it preaches equality and that we are required to stand up and defend fellow religions and aid brothers no matter what their caste or creed, which is why you've never seen me talk shit about any other religion or faith.

I am not an imam, so I don’t speak ignorantly on Islamic issues. I give you that much respect, maybe you should give me mine. Remember, just because one is aggressive, and fights against a majority, doesn't necessarily mean that the person is somehow righteous.
Oh and by the way, you have the balls to throw insults at prophets of another faith, that shares most of it's fundamentals with yours, but at the same time you're one to allow insults against your prophet, is that right? Does that make sense to you? Can you understand what is going on here? And if you learn your history right, sacrifice doesn't mean they got "smashed on" by Muslims, if that was the case, Sikhism would not exist. Any true follower of the faith knows that it preaches equality and that we are required to stand up and defend fellow religions and aid brothers no matter what their caste or creed, which is why you've never seen me talk shit about any other religion or faith.

Tech was only responding to an Indian who was totally disrespecting Afgans to the lowest degree imaginable. When it is the Afgans, who have miraculously been able to to defend there land and way of life, against the Empires that have threatened it throughout time, coming from both East and West. They have a key location and many untapped resources so every great superpower has had an eye on that region and threatened to destroy it. Yet, courageously, the Afgans, have always sacrificed their lives in self-defense, and often been victorious.
Anyway, props to India and Afgan both, all this nationalism needs to stop anyway, peace.

Let me tell you something that is basically common sense to anyone who has read anything about history, and basically this destroys your whole argument.... From the 7th Century all the way till the 18th Century Muslims had the wealth, technology and prosperity while Western Christian society was experiencing their dark ages.
That's funny you compare Islam to Western Christianity, because last time I checked there was also something called Eastern Christianity (but why focus on a positive side of the "enemy"?). From a historical standpoint it is this...long story short...
The middle east was at peace for 400 years under the Islamic Rule of the Ottoman Empire Kalifah. The Ottomans gave rights to Jews and Christians to their Holy places and their were also Jewish and Christian minority communities in the region living in peace. The Kalifah was destroyed during World War 1 and British became the colonial power over the Arabs living in Palestine. Then in 1948 the powerful white men in the UN got together and decided to officially dissolve Palestine and create in it's place the Jewish state of Isreal. Thus, the genocide was of many Arab Muslims, and in their place Jews made mass migration to the region.
Iran is a Muslim country. When people understand the Oneness of God, they understand the Oneness of man. So therefore, Muslims believe in one God, and have unity with other Muslims. Unlike other Muslim nations that are client states of the West, Iran is actually ran by Islamic scholars (ulama). So therefore, these Islamic scholars feel they have a duty to protect Muslims. So Iran has established an organization in Lebanon, next to Palestine/Isreal called Hezbollah, that defends Muslims in that region. Isreal obviously doesn't like this, and they even occupied Lebanon in the 80's with the help of America until Hezbollah miraculously drove them both out.
So anyway, Isreal is always expanding their territories and threatening the Muslims that surround them. While Isreal was conducting terrorist operations against Muslims, bombing them, assasinating them, killing 80 in a week; anyway, some members of Hezbollah in Lebanon decided to defend the Palestinians and retaliated against two Isreali soldiers. Well, Isreal is the strongest military in the whole region so they started showing a force of strength and bombing Lebanon fiercely.
Hezbollah was created to defend Muslims, so they are not going to sit back and do nothing, and even though they have little technological capabilities compared to Isreal, they only fear Allah, and therefore they are willing to die to defend Muslims.
Lastly, people want to know what's going to happen out of all of this. Allah knows best. Isreal and America probably want to engage Iran so that they can use it as an excuse to invade Iran, that's why they are saying that Hezbollah has sent two kidnapped soldiers to Iran, which doesn't make any sense.
Like I said, Allah knows best what will happen next, but naturally the media wants to keep the public in fear, so try to avoid being to quick to assume this is WW3.
