No hate, I listen to some of the "powerful" music too but I see alot of doods on here with Dipset all over their sigs. What is really good with an all westcoast hip hop site having the dips all over sigs? You have guys shitting on DPG while rocking Dip Set banners like they both don't make gangsta music and both don't sell alot of records.
-
most folks on here listen to it all.... dipset has gone out of it's way to be one of the flashiest, gaudiest forces in rap music while at the same time releasing mixtapes every couple weeks. they're like the east coast no limit, so its exciting to see such a strange, innovative company become a movement, you gotta support it. i wont shit on most west rappers, unless its mc eiht who has no personality and has been putting out generic gangsta shit for years with nothing unique. its just about being fly doggie
-
this thread =/= westcoast

Look at my sig dogg, Kurupt, ya Boy, and the Dipset. I got love for all coasts. There are 2 many people on here that cant listen to anything but WEST COAST. There is more music out there then just west coast rap.

you obviously don't get the movement.
-
Like I said I am not hating. I do enjoy dipset for the same reasons you guys do. For the guy asking who cares? It isn't that serious. I was just wondering why I saw so much dip set love on an all westcoast site. I don't hear much Dipset being played in Southern California but then again I am assuming alot of this site is not from Cali.
-
I'm from Cali and I'm down wit DIPSET.

Its all apart of the movement. In the future, there will be no east coast or west coast. or even down south. it will all be Diplomats. Dipsets The Movement. coming straight from money makin manhattan to the whole world. props to england and serbia for joining the movement.

i heard some of my friend's purple haze album...not really impressed at all. adreneline rush was ok but cam'ron only shined on his 2nd verse (off the top of my head), imo the psycho drama or whoever was the best on the opening. from what i can tell of the rest of the album, he has this kind of amateur up and down flow on his bars and the beats aren't really anything special. anyway can anyone tell me some song titles that i can download (i'll hook myself up if its an inconvience) so i can understand why people like killa and dipset i'd appreciate it. thanks.
-
^ listen to the following albums: Cam'ron "Killa Season" and J.R. Writer "History In the Making"
-
here listen to this track off Killa Season.
Cam'ron Feat. Juelz Santana - We Make Change
http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=BC04E37F03E4A5C3
he rips the second verse.

thanks ill give it a listen when i get back
-
its funny how they only give u one track to listen to which might be worth it because on the whole album he has one good verse
-
if u didnt feel purple haze you just dont got the piff in ur blood, no offense
-
dipset just sucks, only member im checking for nowadays is juelz, cam'ron fell off, his first 2 albums were far more better than the killa season/purple haze trash, jim jones is just plain wack, some songs i like, but thats more cuz of the guests on it and j.r. writer is actually pretty dope but i think he coulda use better production....and the rest im lazy to talk about, dipset is average...the hype is just commercial bullshit :loco:
-

Listen to any of Cam's 5 solo albums, listen to any of their mixtapes, and make you sure you listen to J.R Writer's History in the Making. I used to rag on the dips until I actually listened to their music and I was blown away.
-
The only hype that exist is the fact is that they yell or mumble on southern/western mix style beats instead of really repping where they're from. Their style dumifies some of the most sickest beats they got and attracts the kids more than anything, Especially juelz and jim jones. I can respect them for trying to be original but the movement seems to be hitting the kids more than anything because theres no real concept and they talk tough as if they would destroy anyone but JIm Jones wont even battle rap anyone (wax or freestyle) because hes a "gansta," the right to talk shit kinda seems pointless.
I give respect for repping bladers but like i said earlier its not like a 21 yrs old is gonna be picking up a pair anytime soon.
They have nasty beats that can catch anyones ear at random but the first time u hear their jams some people just hear choruses and beats, not the actual bars.
IMO Just download the beats.

I dunno if ya'll realize this, but being a Dipset fan kinda ruins your hip-hop credibility... :-X

no....being a critic and trying to stick to music that you think makes you look cool kinda ruins your hip hop credibility. didnt you realize that? i just pity you guys who get all butthurt about music choices
-
Check out the Intro's from Purple Haze and Killa Season.......IF you still doubting Cam's ability then im not going to recomend any more songs as you clearly aint listening hard enough.

Real Talk, both of those tracks are AMAZING!!

The majority of haters haven't even thoroughly checked out Dipset. Just blind hate and jealousy. Jealousy because cats like me and others can understand how piff this crack really is, while the majority are left in the dark clueless. Ain't no movement like Dipset right now. Most of y'all just livin off your Dogg Food and 36 Chamber CD's. That's cool and all, but the Dips are the future. And for y'all that make the gay remarks about Dipset, you're obviously not secure enough in your manhood to realize that a type of music doesn't mean you take it up the culo, no homo.
So either you're committed or you just don't get it, doggy.

I don't try stickin' to shit, son...That shit is just straight weaksausage, I dunno how you can stomach that garbage contributing to the demise of hip-hop..

A side from Cam'ron and Juelz, I don't really see anything in Dipset. Jim Jones=WACK. Everyone else=Irrelevent. Cam just has this unique mic presence, and can do some nice rhymes even though they usually don't make any sence. And I've been really feeling Juelz's shit that I've been hearing.

I bought Diplomatic Immunity when it dropped. I remember hearing Dipset Anthem / I really Mean It vid and was blown away. Those were some of the sickest beats. In picking up the album, the beats were in the same vein - some of the best overall production on a CD that I had bought in a while at the time. Production wise that DOUBLE album blew me away. However, there were numerous skits / freestyles / remixes that watered it down.
On a freestyle tip, i'll give them credit. Actually, I'll give Cam props on that. He's got a definite swagger and very charismatic. Its not shocking at all that some people think he's a god. I think Juelz is very overated. They've got some wordplay and punchlines, and if you like raps about guns / crack they're the perfect blend. Also if rappers fashion is very important to you, they will appeal as well.
But for the most part I don't buy albums for okie dokie freestyles. But I agree with Now-I-Know to a certain extent when he talks about credibiility. But I'll qualify it by saying simply liking them doesn't mean your pass should be revoked. But when you say outlandish shit like they are better than Wu/Nas/Jay makes you look like a retard.
