Title: 1996 Hip-Hop
Post by: TraceOneInfinite Flat Earther 96' on July 27, 2006, 07:23:17 PM
From that time, the rhymes flowed differently
At that time I'd never spent more than a week outside my city/
but I could see forever in my girlfriends eyes eternally/
It was scientific like taken classes in chemistry/
The memories are so gigantic and large/
It's like that line that dude said off Sunset Park/
He said, "you can be pluto, and I can be mars"
underage, drivin around my older brothers car/
I'm trying to fit oceans of thoughts inside these bars/
But you can't fit an ocean inside of of droplet of water/
I wanna give peace to Pac, 1996's hip-hop martyr/
Cause back in those days it seemed like we were definin/
The outer linen's of our souls by love and not by control/
That's why I don't be understandin people sayin don't be emotional/
Don't feel today's insanity, when my brain is filled with past memories/
One night I set out with some rap discs, a basketball and a backpack/
Went to the park to check out the new Bone track and get some practice/
"Day's Of Our Lives" was rockin in my headset/
Man 96 was so deep that nobody else can dig it like I did/
Forever Imbedded in my memory indefinitely/
Seems like back then even the sun shined differently/

Nice concept bro...
(Hope ya don't mind If I drop a "2" to this)

Hard to measure the depth of the respect in this breath
is a decade plus submerged in this chest...
Still remember the september which gave us a "2"nd immortal member
It's 2-Eazy!!!, it's classic's
that's 96', with All Eyez on Southern Cali saint's, namesake's face,
nah the left side of the brain, the other side of the grain
The Never went away, still embedded in your every day, push rewind then play, WEST!!!
The First time we got laid, layed our first Chronic Stress? seed in the Broken van, (Didn't know)
"In the backyard homie" the sun can help it grow,
Got my First nutt off instead, The Son can, & Will, I know
Still haven't come down from my grown seed's, I Blaze still, on the low
Still, Our sound's were born & laid to rest in the nine-sixth,
Fuck siren's, I
R.I.P to the best of the best, with deepest condolences & Respect's
I miss the 9'stress, or 9'Stretch, Or 9'Sexxx
Had many First's & last's & since lost's & Found's, we on the rebound
Right before Shaq brought us back
on The verge on The "Mighty" Mike Tyson Comeback
Why the Fuck did he have 2 fight Seldon?

That track that embedded Beef into young Slim's, snap back...
before "300 bars", or "Pimp Slapp'd"
We "Hit em up" & had the entire indusry on our nutt sacc.

Loved your idea bro...
nice drop

Feelin tha verse homie, I liked it quite a bit.  It stayed real, the bars were very coherent, cohesive flow and I love the way you started and ended it with sometin similar.  Dope all around.

Props to Hates for droppin sometin' on point as well, very hip hop, peace.
