yeah my geology teacher always scare the shit outta us with that talk shes like the san andreas fault that vancouver and L.A are on are supposed to seperate from North America ???. Because when these faults move thats when an earthquake happens. And this stupid little fault is supposed to create such and impact that B.C and parts of the Cali will become a whole new different land mass :-\

Let me drop some knowledge for you people. It is a popular misconception, taht eventually, a portion of California will break away from the continental U.S. at the fault, or drop below sea level. This is an urban legend; while the land west of the fault will move northwest, it will not break of the main land because San Andreas is a transform fault (the two land masses are sliding by each other, not moving apart).

We will...But have you ever seen that commercial about global warming where the guy is standing on a train track with a train headed towards him and he says, "who cares about global warming, it's not gunna affect me"... then he steps off the tracks and behind him is a small girl (supposed to be his granddaughter or something)...LOL. That one was pretty funny...

I remember when the landers and big bear earthquakes happened, the landers earthquake hit and it woke me the fuck out of bed, I was pissed, then I went back to sleep only to become awakened by the big bear quake. Those earthquakes were messing up my sleep.
We haven't had a big earthquake since the Northridge earthquake, and how many years ago was that? If the "Big One" happens, it happens, fuck worrying about it. I'd rather deal with the occasional earthquake then 3 or 4 hurricanes a year, tornados, or blizzards.
