i got this in the mail just right now from hip hop alerts:
Recently, Nas not only proclaimed himself the victor of his beef with
Jay-Z, but also declared that he would retire from music after 3 more
albums. The albums will be titled "Death of Escobar," "Nastalgia," & "Nas
Writes No More." "In the future, I’ll be living positive, married with
children, writing some films & some plays," he said of his life after rap.

Nah, i think Nas will only do three more, then quit. He prolly wants to go out with a bang, then shut it down. With Stillmatic, he is in the right direction.

Yeah he was on power 99 last night and said this. He said he is putting out a *coug, cough* bravehearts album between that. He plans on writing movies after this. It's very reasonable considering he's not like some artist today who drop albums at will.

today on much music one of the Vj's said that jayz won the beef between them two. obviously she hasnt listened to ether cuz nas rips jayz apart.

shit ...if nas said that...I ain sure we should expect another album after Sillmatic....or at least a good one.....cauze we all know what iz tha level of NAS"z consistensy (from 1-10....- itz minus 17...lol)....
p.s...nas migth not say it, but he realises dat he waz soooooo ripped...(hell it took him almost 5 yearz to admit he cried like a bitch when he listened to pacz DK...lol)

you gotta keep in mind how much writing is involved in three more albums...i think if nas comes up with another 5 mic album before those 3 are released he will retire then...go out the best way possible, off a 5 mic classic...then his lable will release a greatest hits and that will end the legacy, peace.

Rappers never retire.. If they still got a large enough fan base that has love for em'... Nas could easily still be droppin records at 45... And I'll still be there to buy em
