stat quo is rubbish. he aint gonna blow up off this kinda shit. beat is alright but i expect a lot more from dre.
-
I like Stat Quo, sad it's takin Aftermath this long to put him out.
That beat is insane! Dre is amazing.
-
WOW, I love the production from Dre, despite this wack quality. Should be banging in cdq Sounds quite experimental to me.
Stat Quo alright, the hook sucks, the verses are nice for a club joint though.

The beat is a monster, too bad it's wasted on Stat Quo.

beat is a combination of Higher and Outta Control (original) imo

no?

Wow this is horrible. Stat Quo is not marketable to me. Beat is average, very simple, easy... I want the CDQ though, the mixing should make it alot better.
-
Propz!!
-

damn, good catch dogg...i agree, though i hear more outta control than higher.
-
Props for the hookup.
Stat Quo is boring, and that beat sounds like everything else Dre has done in the last couple of years. Its not exciting at all.
-
finally a decent beat from Dre
-
People were bustin nuts with anticipation over this?
Shame on a nigga!
-
also who co-produced this track
because we all know Dre isn't beats by himself anymore
-
Beat is not great, just good, but should sound good on CDQ. I am not sold on that Stat Quo guy.
-
Beat is nice. I will download Stat Quo's album.
-
Dope beat. Bad lyrics. Someone like Nas or Busta would have benefited from this. Sounds a lot like Get You Some.
-
Hot track, and better than I expected.
Also, I think people are being too harsh on Stat. For one, this is a club single (it's not like Stat is going to come on some battling/conscience shit on here). Two, his flow was just fine for a commercial single, as a manner of fact it's better than most people's shit today. Look at the content on "In Da Club" or "How We Do". How is this any differrent as far as a commercial club track?
-
Imma wait for Dre to remix this... It's tight, but can be 100 times better..
-
Beat is good enough for me to ignore Stat.Waiting for CDQ
EDIT:shit's growing on me

also who co-produced this track

Dawuan Parker, the same dude that did stuff with Dre for Big Bang. Makes sense, this sounds like Get You Some only better imo.
The beat is great, a banger, should sound dope in CDQ.
Sounds like a mix of Outta Control and "Oh" from Obie to me.

The difference is the beat isn't a good club production. In Da Club and How We Do were good club productions. Another difference is Stat's voice just isn't for clubs, its raspy and nasty. I'm a true head, so I'm not gonna fuck with average tracks...

Wow........I am growin on this beat by the second. His flow is pretty hot on here....this beat sounds very dark and experimental as someone said. I don't really feel that it's called "Get low" since Lil Jon already classic-afied a track with that title. But damn...I think this track in CDQ could be dope as hell.
Sounds like a 8.5/10 track from first listen....and if it gets pushed, it could be huge. Sounds a LOT different from everything going on in ATL and will appeal to the nation....but since he is from ATL, he'll have that down south support. Good look.
-
I took out the tags, turned the bass n hi's up a little bit, and faded it out so it sounds real. I'd say quality is about 75-80%.

Oh please. Just because he is from the south and not sounding like it, you are giving him mad props? This track will go no where. I bet 10 bucks on Paypal.
-
The beat - Good Dre beat. Dude still got it.
Stat - I hadn't heard anything from him in such a long time I had actually forgotten what he sounds like. Gotta admit that some time into the track the raps grow on you, but still stuff is only so-so. Stat hasn't ever really been that, IMO. Somebody else could've ripped it apart though. The beat hungers for the right lyrics to go with it, and Stat didn't brint 'em on this one.

D A M N
That beat is FUCKING HOT.

Yes. A south rapper not sounding like it, is always better than a south rapper sounding like it nowadays.

nothing special

Yeah right.....for one, I didn't say anything about HIM not sounding like he's from the south, because he sounds just like he's from ATL....I was talking about the beat and the song itself, which sounds nothing like the Snap or Crunk music and just like some Aftermath shit, because of Dre's beat. I'm not giving HIM props at that level, I'm just speaking the truth...the south will support it because it's a southern artist, but the whole country will feel it.

The beat is hot.... Stat is :-X
-
Stat doesn't bother me too much on this track. The beat is huge, it's got a real epic sound to it. Dre should've spit a verse on this and given it to Snoop or Game.

Props and I agree with what you're saying.
Also, Dre is not just looking for a lyricist, he's also trying to add "artists" from differrent parts of the region under his resume. In this case, he wants to expand the Aftermath empire to the dirty South.
-
I'm feeling this more ever since Tistic hooked up the versions without the tags. I like the beat, it is not a great Dre beat, but even this beat still shits on 85% of the beats coming from other producers. I like Stat's flow but I'm not feeling his lyrics much. Good song though

This Beat is dope as fuck
-
I agree with most of you great beat, ehh lyrics. It really doesn't fit the club vibe. probably good in the car and the headphones.
