its safe for me to say that "T.I. - What You Know" was the best hip hop song of 2006 (commercially).
that song was fire when it came out and it still sounds great when you play it today.

yeah id agree with that, the production on it was amazing and TI came correct.

Highly disagree.  Common & Will I Am's I Got A Dream was way better.  And it has meaning to it.

I think that song TI did with Jamie Foxx is way better than What You Know.

for those of you who picked the common - i have a dream joint, it dont even have a video out yet and
i havent even heard that song on the radio in 2006

It's ironic im listening the song just now while i see this topic for the first time. I think it's a good and solid song but not the best of 2006. Commercially-wise i would have to go with 'touch it(remix)'.
