Just to put this into clarity Israel the UK and America supplied Saddam Hussein with chemical weapons in their war against Iran, this man was just a puppet. When he uses these weapons these same suppliers then villify him for his actions and denounce him as being evil. This was americas puppet and he even sought the permission of the U.S before invading Kuwait, only when they granted his request did the Iraqis pour into Kuwait. However once again he was double crossed by his muppet masters and again the media and the rest of the world turned on him which subsequently led to the very brief gulf war 1. This man was installed into power by the west his purpose was to act as a dictator to keep the country in check, yes it was kept in check brutally but this is exactly what was required from him.
It's like turning up to work one day only to find that you are facing gross misconduct charges for being the perfect employee meeting every requirement to the book and then being punished for doing exactly that. It makes me sick to see so many uninformed people given a new years boost by this stunt when the ones giving the public this psychological false boost are his former employers!. I read on this foum and i hear the same rhetoric from many people that oh but he was evil, no more evil than the dictator of uzbekhistan, or no more evil than the numerous other dictators that the west has or is fully supporting. Besides that though lets say every accusation levelled against him is true, he is only a small evil in a much bigger evil, in effect he was just another minion.
The current Iraqi government has surprise surprise taken on all of these dictatorial characteristics, is no less brutal but the difference is they are being supported by the western interests. I would elaborate further but clearly there is no point as some of you just don't want to think about this in a sober light and would rather ride away on this euphoric shortlived "triumph". I am not surprised that saddam hussein is angered by his predicament he has been totally double crossed.

If you think a little bit you can figure out what was the main reason. They didn't search the other claimes and hanged him quickly. Because US and UK was the main guilty behind the other claims. Halep massacre, Iraq-Iran war and others. How can the puppet court say Saddam used the chemical weapons which gaved him by US and UK to use against where they decided. Saddam is just one dead out of many, but let's be realistic. This whole process is nonsensical.
1) We attack Saddam because he has WMD. No one talked about going to Iraq to bring Saddam to justice.
2) No WMD found. So we put Saddam on trail by his own government. What were the laws used to evaluate his guilt? The trial was surely a sham. He certainly deserved death, but this trial was a joke, and I hope it it not a joke we will soon regret making. A real trial would have embarrassed the US government, so we did this fake bullshit.
3) The US government killed 100,000+ Iraqi civilians in this fake war. We tortured and stole the rights of many.
4) The Iraqi's will likely replace Saddam with someone far worse than him. And then what we will have accomplished? Does anyone really think it was worth a $300+ billion to hang this guy? Because that's what it cost. And the net benefit to the US people by hanging Saddam? It's negative. We destabilized a region, and killed a leader that rejected Al-Queda. What happens when Iraq becomes sympathetic to Islamic extremism?
5) If you think this was a reasonable venture, then you must also think it reasonable to parade around the world deposing many other "evil" dictators that do bad things. There are at least a dozen more governments we should invade and topple for crimes against humanity, but we won't. And most of us don't want to. But if you think this is okay, but leaving other tyrants in power is acceptable you're a hypocrite.
