Title: Favorite intro
Post by: MontrealCity's Most on January 18, 2007, 02:47:59 PM
In my opinion a intro cant make or break cd of course but is important none the less. When you have a dope intro its like yooooo this is gonna be good like when i heard the Bow down intro wich is my all time favorite.

Other notables Nwa Greatest hits
                      Death row..welcome to death row
All of jay-z im a big fan of.

i agree...that one was sick...i remember that shit from back when i was younger and i had to hide my ironman cd so my mom wouldn't know i had it...haha...those were the days! lol

my fav intro's would be

ghostface - ironman
all of the intro's from the first few jay-z cd's
the intro from p. diddy's press play (though that happened to be the only decent track on the cd...)

I so sincerely hate that video; it takes away all the power that the song has [in painting a picture inside your mind]... The song is supposed to let your imagination roam freely, and the video just does the opposite by pushing it in one direction. That's really powerful music though

shit is siiiiiick, who produced that? If you guys dig that, there's a GRIIIIP of jazz that resembles. anyone ever hear of an anime called cowboy bebop? soundtrack is full of insanely rhythmic and melodic jazz that could be considered comparable.

man, i've always intentionally slept on most rappers that spit positive all the time cause it gets liken sugar..you just can't eat candy bars all day and i've always intentionally slept on most underground cats that spit insanely lyrical all the time cause i'm listening to rap as music not as poetry and IMHO alot of underground rappers are as poor in style as they are rich in lyrics but damn I have been sleepin' on common...this a good album to start with?

just watched vid of common performing this on conan o brien, it kinda pisses me off that people start cheering not when the musicians start playing but when the rapper comes out as if the musicians were just another drum machine or recording you hit play to...dope performance regardless...i didn't know conan  o brien was filmed in chicago....why do it in chicago? isn't it way more practical to do shit in CA studios?

First thing that pops into my head is the intro on The Chronic, the beat is crazy as hell and it was the perfect way to start such an album, nuff said.
