For some time now we have been promoting the new westcoast talent hailing from Compton, Young Joker. The latest protege of legendary producer & platinum hit maker Meech Wells has been busy writing and recording his awaited debut mixtape "The Takeover" which has been completed in conjunction with the Cali Untouchable DJ's.
The mixtape, which features all original production by Meech Wells and other In-A-Zone affiliates was orginally produced for paid download on dubcnn as well as it being sold on CD.
However Young Joker and Meech Wells have decided to release the tape for free download exclusively on dubcnn for our readers. "The Takeover" features appearances from Jamie Foxx, EDI and Sly Boogy on last years classic track; "100 Thousand" - other artists include Kool G Rap, Spider Loc, The Game, Freeway, Snoop Dogg, Bad Azz, Drastik, Bo-Rocc, Kokane, Celly Cell & E-White.
With that array of talent this is a release not to be missed, especially now as we have it for free download. We have the tracklist below with some preview tracks from the mixtape for those who want to see what Young Joker and Meech Wells have cooked up.

I'll be honest, I don't download much stuff that's not dre/quik or warren g produced. I've always liked the production of the dogghouse generation of meech, battlecat and fred wreck but since they don't have albums under their names, you gotta buy/dl a griiiiiiiiip of shit to keep up with what they're doing whereas I can cop quik and dre's instrumental albums, warren g's albums etc. In all honesty I buy more than I download, at least 2-3 records a week(my wallet says I need to chill though). I did download that dubcnn anthem like a week ago, so I'd already started recently, just saying meech choppin' it up with the fans is further motivating me to support what he's doin'.

This is dopeness. I'm DL'in right now. I'll drop my feeback as soon as I have some time to marinade on this shit. Regardless, mad props to Meech for understanding that you make the internet work FOR you instead of being scared and shittin on it like so many other artists.
This and the Crazy Toones mixtape are the only things out of Cali that I've really anticipated in a long time. Real westcoast production with westcoast artists.

The doors are from LA too! West coast! snoop does that doors song, the "riders on the storm" shit too, ...and Jay Z sampled the doors' "fice to one" on his song ''the take over" from blue print. I saw the doors on september 11,2004 at the LA county fair. one of my favorites.
Meech, have you heard the song? It's called "Land Ho!" from the doors, it's like a pirate song kind of, it's crazy, it has some hittin' ass drums, but yeah the bass line is the same notes. I wasn't saying it was a bad thing, both songs are cool.
Man, spider loc is cool man. I don't like that he hates on Bad Azz but he's talented, he really tries on his lyrics. He's on gunit right? Dre gonna produce him? That'll be fire.

dude , cna you please stop bringing these blunts up. You're like asking questions about all the type of blunts that rappers use, like it makes a difference. Rappers use Swishers, White Owls, Garcias, Backwoods and Optimos. Aint no one rappin about Nate Dogg Blunt Wraps or using them. Nate dogg Blunts are the same thing as any other blunt wrap available on the market, maybe a minor difference in flavor, but a blunt wrap is a blunt wrap. The only thing different, is you got Nate Doggs name slapped on the packaging. It seems that the only reason you really check it out is cos of the Nate Dogg branding. I work in this field, and i aint never see a rapper bust out a nate dogg blunt wrap. They're endorsed by it, so they maybe do some advertisements and shit, dont mean they actually use the product or they need to shout it out on their songs. Whatever company behind these Nate Dogg blunt wraps aint paying him enough for him to do that. This guy makes like 75K on a hook, you think this blunt wrap company is paying him anything close to that. hell no. Like I said, most og smokers think those wraps are way too artificial anyways.

dude, like i said I understand rapper apathy...I'm actually more curious in regards to the fact that rappes(specifically dpg/nate) ain't mentioned them. they always like to brag about their names on the shoes, the clothes, the colognes and other little whatever shit they endorse and that endorse them, it's just odd to me that while they mention every thing else they get their hands on they haven't mentioned them? I was wondering if the rumors in regards to death row using nate's image without him knowing are true. I'm not asking for a song about it but I could certainly see some clever one liners coming out of it "back in the day we used to rock guess, now we rockin' snoop dogg clothin/ and every nigga in the hood straight rollin" they like that shit.
