I dont know if I still have these tracks or not, but the songs themselves dont have any sort of Dre feel at all if thats what you're wondering. Burt is a composer who does jazz-like orchestral peices (music sounds like something you'd hear on 94.7 the Wave). Dre simply just gave him some basic unmixed drum loops and Burth composed some songs around them. Nothing special as far as the Dre collaboration. As far as them hooking up, they were introduced through Dre's piano teacher.

There's a Caj Tjader plays Burt Bach album. Some real funky jazz. Lotta breaks on it. Cop it.

Who is this Burt guy?
He's a famous composer that wrote quite a few hits back in the day. For example, he composed "Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head."

Thnx Rud and Adriano Dogg! Woz missin these tracks!

Dre sampled one of his songs for Still Dre? Burt was well chuffed that millions got to hear his song.
He sent Dre some music and Dre sent them back with some drums.
Should of actually recorded the music together.
-
when i first heard these it got me into jazz alot more all those tracks posted are excellent
-
Denaun Porter also did drums on one of the tracks on "At This Time" I like that whole album.

D12 and Burt Bachrach, whoda thought.
Burt Bachrach is the guy playing piano for Austin Powers in both of the first two AP films. With Elvis Costello in the second film. Both those songs are dope too, "what the world needs now(is love)" and "I'll never fall in love again" I would call him a songwriter. dude's a legend for sure. He's from kansas city, MO where Mac dre got killed.
what does this chris botti guy do? and where's he from? -T

any chance of a hook-up??
-
so all this stuff was released?

yeah, the Bacharach tracks on an album of his called "At This Time"
and the Chris Botti track on one of his.
anyone have "At This Time"?
-
Yeah, I have the album. It's really cool, but I think you have to appreciate that kind of thing. It's not like a close-minded fan of West Coast hip-hop is going to love it just 'cause of Dre's involvement.
(Incidentally, Mr Porter does some shit on there too)
But if you like some chilled jazz, it's a really nice album. Great to put on the headphones on the journey home from work, I find - relaxing music.

im am not one of these "i listen to westcoast rap and thats it!" people. i am open to anything.
really enjoyed just kicking back witha joint to the songs i already have and would like the entire album...
pm me a link or something
