Title: Dj Quik - Summer Jam 1997 Concert
Post by: The Sorrow aka Maurice on March 23, 2007, 04:44:05 AM
I got the dvd from my girlfriend and when I saw this I was like damn. :o
First Dj Quik came up and do the song ''Sweet Black Pussy''.
After that AMG came on stage and do his song ''Bitch Betta Have My Money''.
After that 2nd II None came on and did the song '' If You Want It''.
Never saw anything of quik's clique on stage before.
Then Hi-C came on stage and performed the song '' I Wanna See'' from the album : The Konnected Project!!
I was like huh.. So the song '' I Wanna See'' is from 1997.
After that '' Why U Bullshittin'' started and Suga Free came on and do his thang.
Then Quik announced El Debarge and came on stage and do the song '' I Like It ''.
Never heard this before and Quik announced El DeBarge as new artist whit his clique.
Sounds pretty dope. After that Quik returnted whit his song '' Mo' Pussy ''.
After that he did '' Tonite ''. Then Playa Hamm came on and Suga Free & Playa Hamm did their song '' If U Stay Ready''. 8)
That was the end but Quik and his clique returned to play '' Born & Raised In Compton ''
The Whoridas & Comrads played before Quik came on stage.

Here's the tracklist :

1. Dj Quik - Sweet Black Pussy
2. AMG ft. Dj Quik - Bitch Betta Have My Money
3. 2nd II None ft. Dj Quik & AMG - If U Want It
4. Dj Quik ft. Hi-C - I Wanna See
5. Suga Free ft. Dj Quik - Why U Bullshittin'
6. El DeBarge ft. Dj Quik - I Like It
7. Dj Quik ft. AMG, Hi-C, 2nd II None & El Debarge - Mo' Pussy
8. Dj Quik - Tonite
9. Suga Free ft. Playa Hamm - If U Stay Ready
10. Dj Quik ft. AMG, Hi-C, 2nd II None, Playa Hamm & El Debarge - Born & Raised In Compton

WTF, Do you wanna is that old?? It makes sense, because on the Konnectid version, it goes "well in Nineteen ninety...........if you's a stranger" but you can tell they blanked out the year.

"In 1993, if you're a stranger, lick up on this rubber because I don't like danger."
When Hi-C re-released Skanless, he included the track in full on there; I think there is a 3-5 second clap/snare intro is on that version too.

man i just youtubed and found el debarges part with "i like it" ... shits awesome ^^
i just realized that dude looks hella young ... concert was 97 at that time he was 35/36 !!!
fuck he looks like 25 to me ... is el debarge that worked with dj quik maybe some kind
of an el debarge junior? shits crazy if u realize that his 1st solo record dropped 1986
and at that time he already was 25.

It's a disc you pop in your DVD-player letting you play any region you desire, ask at your local retailer.
