I haven't heard any recent shit from G-Unit apart from Straight To The Bank, so I can't judge, but if I look at this list it looks like 50 Cent will release another compilation album ::) I want albums with a coherent sound, not another Massacre.

Updated with the tracklist from Itunes.

The only track change is the Timbaland, JT joint supposed to be called AYO Technology, even Justin confirmed it today:

MTV: And on the flipside, you're also doing something with 50 Cent?

Timberlake: Yes, I did a song with 50 as well, Timbaland and I. We call it "AYO Technology," and it's really cool because it's a bounce record, it's kind of got the same tempo as "My Love," so to hear 50 rapping on a track like that is really different for him. I'm a fan, man. I'm just working with people I'm a fan of.

MTV: Did 50 bring out the hardest Justin yet?

Timberlake: We met somewhere in the middle. [He laughs.] It was somewhere like a bulletproof designer necktie.

I doubt thats true, 50 said its gonna be an official single for this album.

It is interesting that Timbaland said in several interviews that he worked with 50 Cent a lot but looks like that for Curtis only one track will make the cut. Well, theres still BISD to drop.

EDIT: Its true   >:(

50 Cent's third mainstream effort, self-titled 'Curtis', will be released in the United States on June 26th. 50 and DJ WhooKid, just finished recording and mixing their new mixtape, 'G-Unit Radio Pt. 25: The Envy of The Industry.' According to sources around the G-Unit camp, the mixtape will be released late may, (possibly May 25th,) the same day which 50's second official single, "Come & Go," will first hit the airwaves. Expect the mixtape to feature cuts that did not make the album, as well as newly recorded material featuring Young Buck and Tony Yayo. "Fif took it to a whole nother level on this tape. It really brought out the hood in him again," said WhooKid, G-Unit's official DJ. In other news, the Justin Timberlake track many thought would appear on 'CURTIS' has not made the album cut, and will possibly be released on 50's upcoming album, 'Before I Self Destruct', which will surface around Quarter One of 2007. -SOHH

LOL, SOHH

Probably right.  The track is probably epic.  They gotta save it for the last album..   If you check the interviews neither of them mentions that Tony Yayo is on the track.  Its just him and Justin.  So that rules out The Mechanic.   Fuck that... He should put it on the G-Unit Radio.

It seems that Stat and 50 both have a Dre-produced song titled "FIRE". I wonder if it's the same beat. If it is, than one of those two artists will have one less Dre track. If it isn't, than one of those songs may have a title change.

Well 50 just said in an interview that Dre did 2 songs for "CURTIS". If that includes "Straight To The Bank" than it looks like Eve may end up with that "FIRE" song.

just 2? what i don't get it 50 blew up with a dre produced single, surely if there was one interscope artist that would benifit from a dre banger it would be 50. he's the biggest selling artist and has already dropped big singles over dr dre beats. something funny is going on if he has to rely on timbaland for that crossover appeal this time. not to say timbaland aint cool, but dre brings that gangsta sound that gives 50 atleast some street credibility. the new single with justin timberlake is pretty much a straight pop effort, as dope as i actually think it is....

50 was on radio and said he recorded 10 new tracks, 2 of them being produced by Timbaland. So, the tracklist will be quite different in the end.

You got a link to this radio interview?

Wcsoldier, you dont like Fully Loaded Clip ? Imo its a dope track, raw. However, it should be a bonus track, same goes for Straight To The Bank. On the other hand Amusement Park shouldnt be nowhere near the album, nor mixtape. I cant believe 50 or the label cant see that nobody likes that song.

Anways, the tracklist will probably be changed a lil bit in the end but if it were to stick this way, these tracks have potential to be crap:

01. Intro
02. My Gun Go Off
03. Man Down
04. Still Will Kill (feat. Akon)
05. I Get Money
06. Bring Em In
07. Ayo Technology (feat. Justin Timberlake)

Looks like the Itunes aint 100% afterall:

Earlier today, Ludacris confirmed on to a radio talk show in Atlanta that the "I Get Money (Remix)" track is indeed official, and will be the version featured on 50's new album CURTIS out September 11 (see 50 Cent and Kanye West face off on September 11). "The track on the net right now isn't even the finished product, still got some surprises on that, I'm doing a favor for 50 because that beat was some sick sh--, and y'all might remember him on a past remix of mine." Most importantly he said that 50 will be on two tracks from Ludas upcoming LP next year and also to have Buck on one track with 50.

Tonite I went to watch the live taping of the Making the Band Finale over in the fiery depths of hell…..aka Times Square. And I’m not gonna dance around this….I would have never gone to this event on my own. I would have been perfectly happy finding out tomorrow (or honestly, whenever I caught a rerun) who made the final cut on the 4th incarnation of this modern day Menudo. But I was asked to cover the event for work, so you can check out the webvideo of my interview with Diddy, Danity Kanye and the new boy band later this week at Hot97.com.

But you know what…my cynical, jaded ass was kinda won over by these fresh-faced fellas. All 10 of the finalists seemed genuinely talented and shockingly likeable. They didn’t give us all the ignorant entertaining antics of that other Making the Band band…what were they even called? The one with Babs, Choppa and the other guys? (so much for spitting that “hot fiyah” lol). And that choreographer Laurie Ann still thinks she was the “show.” So congrats to the newly formed [Insert Name Here] band—Robert, Brian, Big Mike, Q, and Will. Good luck guys. You’ll need it: )

But more importantly…..while I was talking to Diddy, he confirmed to me what I posted about that “I Get Money” remix, featuring him, Hov and 50. Diddy called it the Billion Dollar remix but he couldnt say whether Kanye’s verse would ever be cleared. Thanks for keeping it real, Puff.

1 Dre production and 1  Eminem production ! It's really a shame for an artist signed to both labels. Em & Dre should have produced half of the album. I was kinda disappointed with the massacre with only 2 Dre productions and 3 Eminem productions....
but this time its even less. I also remebered that the only Dre produced track (Fire) was imposed by Interscope. Dre's beat on the Big Bang were really nice. I am sure that 50 can have some nice beats by Dre....
It's time for them to let him fly......

It also might have been a time issues, since 50 was working on BISD all the way to March, untill he decided to put that aside and create Curtis. That mean 3 months for the album.

Well more like 5 since it was delayed and reworked a bit. But its still pretty good for  such a short period of time to work on it. But I would still imagine it to be exec by em and dre if they are releasing it on their lables

10. Straight To The Bank
Produced by Ty Fyffe
Additional Production by Dr.Dre

I knew it! Good looking on scans, trentman.

14. Fire (feat. Nicole Scherzinger & Young Buck)
Produced by Dr.Dre
Keyboards by Mark Batson & Dawaun Parker

Worst Dre-beat ever, really disappointing.  >:( :-X

lol was thinking the same thing. Its pretty sad he definitely could have done more for this album. 2 tracks by em and dre are some of their worst as if they threw it in the garbage and 50 picked them out. I would say this is at the same level or lower than The Massacre. Only about half the album is good.

I actually think Em and Dre both gave him dope beats, especially Ems is on some Dre club ish. Too bad they decided to turn it to your average club joints.

Come & Go (Harris, Jackson, Lewis, Young)

The credits only say "Recorded By Veto & Roomio", not that they produced it, and Dre is listed in the author credits.
If you look at the credits for "Fire", they recorded that track as well, and all album previews say "The Dre laced Come & Go", so I'm pretty sure Dre did it.

Title: Re: CREDITS: 50 Cent - Curtis

In all honesty, you can say Dre basically did four beats. Because he produced Come & Go and Fire. Co-Produced Straight To The Bank. Mixed Amusement Park.

So five of seventeen songs have something to do with Dre & Em. I'd prefer over half the CD but in the end, it's more than I originally thought.

In an article I read, Both Snoop & Jay agreed that if Dre mixes the beat, then he basically had something to do with the production. Because the way he mixes it. I don't know. Take it how you want to.

Mixing isn't just laying the vocals on top of the music. When a track is mixed by Dre, if you can identify with Dre's sound and style, you can easily hear the influence he has on the overall final product.
Title: Re: CREDITS: 50 Cent - Curtis
Post by: ATK on September 07, 2007, 07:11:50 PM
true, but would you say that its a big enough influence to be considered additional production?

Also thats funny that Come & Go is the only track that doesn't list the Producer or who mixed it.

Exactly.. in any other "industry" the thing called "mixing" in music would've been called a part of the production.. it gets the product the way it is, so that's producing to me.
