Digital Smoke with J Wells was very dope and the new track that I've heard Mystic River is 8), looking forward to Kurupt's solo which might shape up to be his best since Streetz with the producers that he's working with and the way he is spitting
-
yes sir... his doggystyle album will be the shit. no doubt.
looking forward to that one!
-
I know the tracks are older but I hope Westside Ridin with Daz and That's It would be on it. He killed both those tracks.

Eh... Considerin' that Kurupt already dropped a solo project since those tracks I doubt we will see them end up on an official release.

Yeah that's true.

I think it's going to be a very decent album. But I have little hope it'll be able to step to TSIAM or SBSO

I don't know, that Mystic River beats and lyrics wise holds up with alot of songs on Space Boogie. There should be no excuse for weak beats. He has some of the best to choose from. It just depends on the rhymes.

I think the producers snoop and his label was fucking with at the time of SBSO are better then the producers snoop and co. are fucking with now. And that ain't taking nothing away from terrace martin, thx, and all them dudes, it's just extremely difficult to top the producers they were fucking with at the SBSO time.

Actually he is using the same producers. Fred Wreck produced the bulk of Space Boogie and he is still around. The only other producers on that was Quik, Lethal, Mike Dean, Soopafly, and Daz. The question is what producers Snoop likes for this project. If it is up to Kurupt then he will have the usual suspects. But Snoop still works with Jelly Roll, Battlecat, Fred, etc, it is just now the circle of producers he has to use is growing so where he gets beats from a new producer, that might have other mainstay left out.

one thing I hate about this forum (and this is no offense to the homey higheyecue) is that albums that ain't even OUT yet are referred to with 'was'.
'digital smoke was dope'...i'm like 'wtf?' I ain't even bought it yet. shit's not even OUT yet. I listen to shit when I buy it typically and it's like damn, i'm already behind.

I'm down with jelly roll, battlecat, fredwreck etc. It's the THX, Terrace Martin and so on i'm not big on (there good, but don't touch the prev. dudes i mentioned, and that's no disrespect, because that is hard to do)
-
THX and Terrance Martin, don't sleep on them, they got some fire beats. Change is good sometimes and at the most they would not have more than 2 or 3 beats on the album. Kurupt will get more beats from T Martin on the group project with him and Problem.

true. Haven't heard enough of them to really form an opinion. I'm just goin with the classic "they can't be better" statement ;)
-
i haven't heard a single track yet and I don't want to, waiting to buy it (digital smoke that is)
anyway, I've been working two jobs and going to school. my seasonal weekend job with the renaissance faire just ended so I'll have my weekends back.
compound that with the fact that I am now forbidden from dubcc from my work (which is where i did most of my posting) and I'm here alot less. hopefully, the weekends will see me make a bit of a comeback.

also, i've been listening to almost exclusively michael jackson and roger troutman lately so that leaves me with less to commentate on as far as this forum.

i have periods where thats all i listen to

I'm curious to hear Kurupt's new material, like his album comin out on doggystyle. seems like he's workin on so many projects, it's insane.
-
my thinking is kurupt seems to get distracted and always come back and make up for it strong and i think this is one of the latter periods. i really think he also knows what he needs to do fuckin with snoop and all.
-
kurupt seems more focused than ever

kurupt seems more focused than ever
reminds me of when he just got back with Daz in '05 and spit straight heat on D&YGII, after hearing that Mystic River track I would say the same
-
Well the Mystic River track was completed in late 05. and it's been laying low ever since. I think i had the Mystic River track back in like Octover, November 05. so thats why it sounded like Kurupt was rappin in the D&YG2 time period.

i have high hopes for kurupts solo album, in not expecting huge sales but i do expect a good album.

Man, Terrace Martin, Fredwreck, Daz, Soopafly, Tek.......I mean with Kurupts form and the producers hes fucking with, this should be dope.....Can't wait for this....Kurupt been on track since Cali Iz Active. This should no doubt be banging and live up to hype....well, hasn't let me down as far as official solos goes.
I heard something that Kurupt lives real close to Fredwreck too, so I expect some heat from him...
I wonder if Badd Azz gonna spit on this....oh well only time will tell.
-
I really do hope Tek is producing on ther, his work for the tangled thoughts album is great, hes def a producer to watch in the future
-
