We knew him online, his name was Psycreate back then...Originally, the OGs from here were sorta like a community on another forum called Dre2001 (including your boyfriend, I think his name was N***A on there if I remember correctly)... we started our own board since we had no power on that forum and groupies started infesting the place with no moderation...All the cool heads jumped here, and the rest is history...The community aspect kinda died down, but it's still there, somewhat...PeACe

I was in Barbados, bored on vacation and I was getting into all my old music after being disillusioned with this new booty bullshit. I was reading some shit on Wiki, I think on a Dre interview, and Dub was one of the sources.
LOL I didn't even mean to hit the forum button it was by accident!
Then I saw all the REAL hip hop discussion... and I was like "where do I sign up?"
This place, for me at least, has a huge "community" vibe to it... the "Spot" is the shining example of that

well the board originally started at another board previous to the dre2001.com board. it was on the chonic 2000 board where everyone was hyping the release of dre 2001, that shit was back in the summer of 1999.
then when the official dre site opened people started converting over there. for a couple of years we were all over there, but like NIk said we'd always get bombed on by fools from the ruff ryder boards, ICP boards, and ESPCIALLY from the Death Row boards. also there was a little beef with the Sohh.com board for a while too i think .
anyways overseer and a bunch of westcoast webmasters opened up this board to connect all the west coast web sites. then the community just kept growing and growing.
so shit you can say i've been on this btich for like 8 years now. :o

went back and read jake and NIks threads wanted to add my side
yeah i joine dre2001.com and the eminem boards after the SSLP's release but before 2001's release. and after a while we left for Psycreate/Overseer's new board at igangsta.com which became WCA which became WCC which became dubcc.
anyway, i remember leaving the dre2001.com boards not cause of beefs but because the website was literallyn not being maintained. Not only was it not moderated but after a while our posts outfilled the capacity of the site and classic ass threads were getting deleted and the board would glitch and freeze and shit. it was like the website itself was falling apart without maintenance. and we couldn't do shit, cause fuckin' interscope owned it.

shit the dub has a steep history. Joined 19 June 2006 a lil more then a year now. Used to just surf through the pages for about a year before hand but signed up to get info on when that Hittman interview was dropping lol

My current account is from April 02, but I had another one before that I just forgot my password. I stumbled on to dubcc either through snoopsdogghouse.com or hitemup.com, cant remember which.
I got much love for the dub, but it does seem like a lot of the OG's have up and moved somewhere else, or they never post anymore. In my opinion, Hip Hop has really fallen off in the last several years, and dubcc seems to have fallen off along with it. I'm still down for the cause, but it's not as dope a spot as it was in the past.

In my eyes, all the original members on here started it... if I remember correctly, the premise for the board originated from a thread on the Dre2001.com board...There was a long topic about how we should start our own place, then a few days later, a link was posted and the rest is history.
We were all under the impression that WCC started as a community from a thread on dre2001...I guess you don't see it like that, but nobody "lied".

Did you not read what I just said?...And whether Seer wants to acknowledge it or not, I put in my share of work on this board. The section we're posting in now was an idea I came up with. I ran the audio sections, I started my own Fantasy Record Label Board on this site, which had classic competitions, I opened an Audio Battle section when the community aspect was still in effect- don't wanna sound egotistical (too late), but would WCC be the same without me?...So whether Seer wants to give me credit or not, I did do shit for this site, and I'm currently more active on this site than Seer himself...Now, I'm not tryna take credit from anyone, it's Seers board, he can claim whatever he wants, but a lot of us OGs were under the impression that we were involved with the idea, since as far as I can recall, the idea came from a thread in which many contributed...

And that's cause the big difference is he's put money into it and we haven't. And while I totally see what you're saying, I can certainly understand what that means to him and I think he is legit for thinking that even though perhaps that's not the way I'd think of it you know?

I did make another account that I forgot about and barely used. One day I just started reading the vault and looked at the work alot of people put into that and found out how knowledgable people on here are so i made this account and shit went on from there. I found out about Dubcnn in my old ares chat room i think in like 03.

i see my girlfriend 3 or 4 nights a week.. most of those i'm staying at hers which is 20 mins outta town..
and when i'm home i skate when its sunny.. at least twice a week.. that leaves me a night or two a week at home if that..
i aint saying ya'll never contributed like that after it was created.. but the creation wasn't down to anyone else...
i pulled the worlds i was dabbling in together.. i was on the dre forum.. and i wish some characters from there had come over.. (e.g. docb never really did).. and locsta? and the fake narrator.. but outside that.. i was already doing my lil news page.. i was feeding audio to "the shiznit" and b-please for wc killaz, and cool with dpgc2000.. and on a few other forums.. and staff at NWA2k for a short time.. i was spread wide and finding it hard to keep up.. b-please wanted me to be staff at wc-killaz but i didnt have time.. the internet was a lot smaller back then.. hell rip groups like RNS served the new shit right from their irc channels.. i was into the rap music vid scene at one point too just before dubcc came about.. and other things too.. i remember getting dre's 2001 album (in late oct 99, i dropped to retail in nov 99).. from the #rns channel on efnet.. there were 1000s of people going wild in there.. shit doesnt happen like that online anymore.. they cant put themselves out in public like that no more
i tried to pull those together so i had a central place.. i'd already done it with my little news page (which i help expose chronic_overload with.. lol).. it was through all these connections i'd made that made dubcc inevitable..
the creation really was just 100% down to a conversation i had with b-please.. i'm sure its posted on here somewhere..
i can understand though.. it was a relief to bring things away from that dre forum.. shit was outta control.. it was getting attacked by KKK types n all sorts.. with no mods we were pissed off.. so i know what it meant to have a place that felt "safe"...
the moves i made were to try and maintain the integrity of the fact this is a west coast rap forum first and foremost.. thats why the DIPCC cats never got a section, or any respect.. i dont mind people who post here just about g-spot or whatever.. but if they make a nuisance and arent contributing outside a certain area.. then i'm less inclined to give a fuck..
this elitist attitude has me vexed... "OGs" are less inclined to post so much in reponse to questions that've been asked time n time again.. which is why new blood is needed.. they're still hyped where we're more "blah" about things.. (e.g. crooked i's album, detox etc etc.. lol)... you have to nurture it to have a future..
