Title: Any last minute questions for BISHOP LAMONT? (Interview Done, No More ?s)
Post by: Eddie G. on October 30, 2007, 11:18:39 AM
Drop anything you want to know about Caltroit in here, or just in general.  I'll check this thread before I do the interview tonight and pick a couple of these questions.

- Is he gonna be on Busta's new LP and if he has any info on that
- did he hook up with RZA, Premo and Just Blaze now (he said couple months ago that he's planning an NY trip)
- realistic date for Reformation
- are they still gona go with Feel On It as an offical street single since it ain't getting any special response or are they gonna change it
- will the 1st single be Dre produced, how many tracks he has so far from Dre
- the usual: Caltroit, Detox, maybe Em's new LP, production, guest lineup thus far
- any chance of releasing N*gger Noize and Caltroit without the DJ's

Why the fuck it's taking him so long to release The Reformation.
Which of the songs he released are actually going to be on the album.
Who he plans on collaborating with soon on the West Coast.

i know something like this has been asked before in an other interview that you guys did with bishop, but it's still very important imo.

- aren't you worried that interscope may not want to release your album? i mean yeah, dre said that he was also worried about eminem(because of the controversy), but the difference was that interscope actually wanted to sign eminem in the first place.

YES,and will a Hard copy be available in retail or at least online?
I want those with booklets and print on the cd,so I can have the credits proper and a product not just burned cd.
Iīm pretty sure he canīt say anything worth talking about when it comes to Detox, since itīs area 51.
But hereīs a couple of questions;
-You have said in previous interviews that you have been involved with all the aspects of Hip Hop,
does this include Graffiti and Breaking? (Elaborate,if yes)
-Another thing I noticed in your lyrics is that youīre a Star Wars fan, just like Ras Kass.
Is this something you will use more in your lyrics? Maybe doing a tribute?
-Will your album have a more "commercial" appeal than your street albums,
or will Dre allow you to do the same style as you did on Nxgger Noize?

yeah, good question, but you might want to replace dre with interscope  ;)

that's why i posted my question, cause i don't think bishop is worried about dre (judging from previous interviews and the youtube video).

will he make a collabo with Crooked I soon since they both been shouting eachother for some time now?

Agree,we had a convo about that before. Thatīs why I hope Dre/Aftermath goes indy so he donīt have to "clear" every artist/album/songs with Jimmy. Eddie knows what to do....
yeah hopefully eddie will ask a question similar to ours, cause i can't imagine that Bishop is not worried; he has to realise that last year there was only one aftermath album released, and this year ( so far) only one as well( and one of those 2 albums was from 50 cent; and the other one is The Big Bang which took a long time until is was finally released. looking at the content of the albums, how can he not be worried?)

Ask him about:

Will he be on Eminem's album?

When STATLANTA is dropping?

How many Dre tracks on Reformation?

Did he work with Primo and RZA?

How many tracks does Dre plan to put on DETOX?

Will the whole Aftermath label be on DETOX?

Yep and Bustaīs album was a "little out of the box" as far as Aftermath goes since The Chronic 2001.
It didnīt do 50 and Em numbers, the climate is bad but still this can be something Jimmy is worried about and will put his foot down and push trough a more "commercial" appealing Bishop album.
Dre canīt be happy in this sitiuation,he should have left Interscope a long time ago and gone indy like Cube.
We have already missed out on Hittman and Rakim,Hittman leaked so thatīs all good at least we got to hear whatever that was recorded. In my opinion Hittmanīs album would been the best album since The Chronic 2001.
Sickbay records released the album,I donīt know how legit it is,but you can order it from amazon; (I put my order in last week)

why the name bishop lamont?

and why do you make songs expressing your disregard for white people and the way they supposedly treat you, when your real friends are all white or act like it;

Ask him this question. MAKE SURE YOU ASK HIM THIS.

How much money and pussy has he got since joining the aftermath Camp. HA HA HA

Ok on a serious note here are my questions to ask him

1] Does he plan to tour the UK anytime soon?
2] Does he plan to drop another street album after Caltroit before the reformation?
3] Is Dr. Dre happy with the beats Oprah made for the album?
4] How does he personally and in all honesty feel about Kanye vs. 50cent? isnt Kanye's content in some kind of way similar to what he's pushing for himself and if so, wasnt he happy that Kanye sold more than 50, which ultimately proves there is still room for that type of content in today's rap.

I dunno man im fucked, but yeah ask him those questions

ask this nigga if he feels he as good a writer or better than when he first signed to aftermath? like does he still take as much time working and practising on his lyrics or is he now sorrounding himself to a bunch of yesmen who will not let him know if his slippin simply because his on aftermath. Also with all the apparent pussy he be gettin does it ruin his focus and fuck up his subject matter.

Can we expect a bishop lamont lyrical album like he was talkin in interviews when he first signed to aftermath or will we get a 50 cent massacre?

does being on aftermath and interscope cloud your mind?

is dre as good as he used to be? is he out of touch with reality?

is bishop kool with snoop?

does he feel dre beats stand out as much as they used to?

whats his relationship with game?

how many dre beats will he get?

does waiting so long make u loose focus? i know he will probably say it makes you work twice as hard but does it really in reality? or do u accept the wait by not working as hard on your rhymes and just spending more time with bitches instead?

whats it like working on some lyrics for hours or days on end and then dre telling you that aint shit and he may just throw it away and then u create some wack generic lyrics and dre may tell u thats a hit for an album? would that make him become lazy?

whats his plans for feel on it? will they make a video? the beat is bangin but does bishop feel he came good on it?

thats about it,lol....

my bad about the negativity....but bishop still has alot to prove to me...my fav bishop joint is feel on it and thats simply because of the beat and thats cuz of the shit thats happening in thebacground....i know he got skills but he still has to prove himself to me yet....

oh and ask if he feels his album will drop before detox....because if its after detox he'll be coming out in 2009 earliest.....and as him what he would do if dre told him that he has a set date for album release but its in summer 2009.....would he leave?

what would he do if he gets dropped from aftermath?

whos the best producer he worked with?

best upcomin producer and rapper?

"Feel On It" is one of Bishop Lamont's worst tracks. His flow is lazy as hell and subject matter ain't nothing special. If you think that this is his best track, you need to dig deeper into his discography.

i have a decent amount of him form nigger nioze and shit but im still not fully convinced....feel on it is my fav bishop track because i love the beat and the atmosphere it creates...i dont think bishop does some beats alot of justice....for example on no stoppin carson....the beat is kinda boring but he does not help it at all but when i hear croooked i spittin over the same beat i feel the beat more...just my 2 cents....oh and i stick with 50 cents massacre:P to me thats a horrible album with a high budget sound haha

I really like Bishop's music, but I miss the old days, where he was really, I mean really was spittin some heat.
I think his flow has became to "normal".
If you listen to tracks like "It's Bishop" or "Closer" you'll realize, that he was flowin doper than a muthafucka and was spittin some real dope rhymes.
Don't get me wrong, I still like his music and I'm waiting for Caltroit & The Reformation.
But I think that he has some kind of switched his style.

^^ So far, every interview I read, he was giving these long ass anwsers, so he must be nice to interview.

@ Jin: I noticed that too. If you listen to him on True Crimes, his flow is bonkers. Now, while lyrically and subject matter he's still dope, the flow is more slow. But I've only heard that on 2 tracks; Feel On It and No Stopping Carson. The rest was the regular Bishop.
