Nothing could save Kingdom Come and I am a massive Jay-Z fan. I still don't like Blue Magic and Lil Wayne sounds absolutely horrible on Brooklyn. I am going to give this album a listen but I am not holding my breath.

after first quick listen i am impressed....im not big on jigga, infact im not a fan in all honesty but i was impressed with black album and then i thought kingdome come was wack...i felt dre beats very lazy and they nearly put jigga to sleep aswell....BUT i cannot believe im saying this but i think diddy came real good with is boy on the production....im feeling this....jigga sounds hella fresh and young...his not doing that breathing shit where he sounds fucked up, he came real good...im not sure about replay value....since ive only heard it once,lol....and usually shit diddy does usually sounds very nice at first but alot of his shit never really gets alot of spins...but i don't know....its def decent...jigga is def one of the best niggaz out even if he aint my nigga....he holds his shit down....

2) On my first 2 listens through the whole thing, it is alot better than Kingdom Come, he came out strong and fresh in this one, if anything i'd agree with Lyrical G, i'm not a fan of Hova in general. But this album does shine big time, some will like it, some won't.
I'll be one of the ones to think it's worth a listen and some 8)

skimmed through the cd a few times not a single song has caught my ear, so far I'd say Kingdom Come was better, and Kingdom Come was pretty shitty, bad production

doesnt seem like jigga has the same fire in him anymore as he once did before all the success now that hes livin it up.. i felt him on a couple of tracks with him talking about coming up...his battles dealing with fame and fortune.. but there isnt one song on here that is a knock out.. production was weak cept for that pharrell joint which was IGHTT because jigga didnt deliver on it .. this album sounds very old school tempo stays around 80-89 bpm
best cut off the album - the joint with nas which wasnt even that mind blowing...

Underwhelming release. There's good songs, but imo Kingdom Come had more standouts (I guess thats cause it had more shitty songs, though)
Everything on here is good (except Hello Brooklyn), but nothings jumping out at me. Favorites right now are Ignorant Shit American Gangster and Success (which is only for the Nas feature, really.)

Roc Boys was coo, And I liked the isley bros feel this album had.
Shit I heard like 3 track's, then bumped the isley sampled track's,
I took out the American gangster immedietly and bumped me
some Isley's instead...

For what it's worth IMO it's still better than 90% of the shit out nowaday's by today's rapper's.(IMO)

Gangster has gotten quite a mixed reception. I'll just buy it second hand for sure. I doubt that Jay needs my 9.99$ that bad since he sold Rocawear earlier in this year for over 200 million dollars.
