I just got my "Fixxers Mixtape" which is very very disappointing, it has nothing new besides the last two tracks from Kay L. No new songs, no no remixes as advertised. I guess the only good thing out of this, is that it's signed by Quik & AMG. But again, I'm kinda pissed since I've been waiting awhile to recieve this and it had nothing new. The Masterpiece Intro is pretty sick though, it's a 1min mix of a bunch of Quik intrumentals. Sorry if there's already a thread on this but I didn't see one, just thought I would let ya'll know. >:(

Yeah, I mean I was expecting some old songs when it said over 30 tracks, but not the whole damn mixtape. Like I said the Masterpiece Intro is pretty tight, but it doesn't make up for the whole mixtape. Oh well, what can you do. At least it's signed by Quik.
Oh btw, it's in a slim case with one page cover (tracklisting on the back), and it's a cd-r not a real cd.

We've had some good street albums/mixtapes lately.... Terrace's "Signal Flow", Malone's "The Electric Chair", Bishop's "Caltroit"... I can see why people would be anticipating this. Whenever I came close to ordering this, I just kept getting the feeling that I should hold off until more word about the CD came in. I'm glad someone else tested the waters first. :)

That's true, but I just ordered it for my Quik collection. I have all his cd;s, might as well add this to the collection. It's not like I was expecting all 30 tracks to be new, I ain't that stupid. But I was expecting at least 2-3 new songs, some unreleased songs, and some remixes like advertised, not a bunch of songs that's been out for years. Eitherway, it is what it is, so whatever. I was mostly disappointed cuz of how long I've been waiting to get it.

Yeah, all the tracks are mixed continuously, each track is like a min or two, mostly just Quik's verses. I mean it's a pretty tight mix of old shit, lol.

Yeah, all it has is a cover with the tracklisting on the back. But like I said before, the best thing about is that it's actually signed by Quik & AMG.

Yeah I mean I didn't expect a lot of new tracks, but at least a few. I'm sure they're gonna have a bunch of leftover tracks they recorded for the album, so why couldn't they throw those on here. I don't need a mix of old Quik songs, I make those myself. What's funny is that this was the first purchase I made in a long time where I didn't even think about it. It was just like "Fuck, its out!" and I bought it immediately. It was a bad move in retrospect, and it's also disappointing when I paid 10 bucks for this shit in a time where I can get so many tight street albums full of original material for free.

wow i havent gotten mine yet, but was expecting more of a Fixxers mix..meaning both AMG and Quik..not just a mix of Quiks best so songs with an amg appearance here and there/// i wanted some rum and coke songs and new songs///even something like the comp floating around the hook up spot...full of each amg and quik collabo... this release doesnt make much sense

if that's the case then it might not be a complete waste, as I'm sure Quik would do something cool with the songs, like with the "Trauma" mixtape. But even that one had like 5 really tight new tracks.

Just got mine in the mail today, it's mixed by "Classic." Dope that they signed it, but the aspect ratio is fucked on the CD cover, like they stretched it out too much. The only purpose i can see for this mixtape is to give new hip-hop fans that don't know who Quik and AMG are a look into how amazing their past music has been.

You know what, I'll take back some of my bitching about this tape. I actually just listened to it and it's very well mixed. It's definitely worth listening to as a Quik compilation. It's not worth paying for though.

Yeah I was just stayin positve bout it.. I mean they did come autagraphed.. And also the mix aint bad either.. The track I've been bumpin aloth though is that Kay L track "Flip it".. I hhad it from b4.. But this one sounds much clearer.. And I'm startin to like it a lot.. That piano on the track is clean.. And that bass drop is sick.. Pop traxx came good on that one.. Now lets just get ready for the midnight Life.. I'm realy excited bout that one right there.. I can't wait to hear "World wide AM" , Dough , that one track with the skrewed cumbia.. Fuck it.. I wanna hear the whole album.. On the real though.. The track I can't wait to bump is "Worldwide A.M." Though..

by CDR, do you mean its a completely blank cd..or it has the Fixxers stamp on it and the Dirty West sybol?? cuz i was expecting a straight up staples cdr... but it at least has the fixxers logo and dirty west logo

im kinda disapointed with this cd... but trust for a Quik collector its necessary for the collection and the autographs are nice to have..
But.. the track list didnt impress me becuase i have all the songs... its a "Fixxers" mix but just has quik on it...even the tracks that AMG appaered on were cut off right before his verses... whats the sense in that? Down Down Down and Useta Know her are probly the best AMG appearance ever...along with Speed... Late Night, INside Out, and Break Bread... and all his 2nd II none appearances he always RIPPED a sick verse
