Title: !!!!!!!!! External hard drive PROBLEM!!!! please help me out

My external hard drive doesn't work anymore on my computer. On my sister's laptop everythings fine. But on my computer nothing works, not even my memory stick. It tells me always that it couldn't be found. Thank God it's not the hard drive that is crashed. It's something with my computer and the hardware.

WHAT'S GOING ON???

So, your external won't show up on your PC, yet shows up on another PC?

Possible USB port issue?

yeah ur usb controller on ur mother board mite be fried if none of the ports are working

try formating & reloading the computer's OS(XP or vista whichever u have)

device manager, hardware settings, usb, see if anythings wrong?
