fallen to along the same line as "the south will rise again". I just don't see it happening and here's why. Blacks have never prospered as a overall civilization throughout history, even before European nations got involved in the continent Africa. Even nowadays, if every cracker was killed, I don't see "them" being able to hold their own as a peaceful, productive society. Petty tribal warfare is part of African blood, and has translated through every generation and location blacks have migrated to. Blaming constant poverty, violence, rape, substance abuse in heavily black areas solely on the white man is obviously not capturing the entire picture and is immature. There will never be a prosperous African nation like the ones European, North American, and Asian countries have provided for themselves. I think Africans are just not mentally able to build strong communities throughout the world as it is known currently.

University drills me to say: are peacefullness and productiveness the ultimate measures of the greatness of a society? Isn't that just because these are aspects we, the rich western people, value so much, and not because they necessarily are the ultimate qualifications of civilization?
Anyway, I strongly disagree with the leftist views my university is trying to shove down my throat. Human nature and the very existance in this universe has certain rules by its nature. You can't live successfully in constant threat of your life; the threat conflicts with the success. You can't live unproductively, because life does have requirements such as food, clothes, shelter and health care. Western civilizations have achieved this better than any other type of civilization on this earth. That does not mean Africans are biologically unfit for progressiveness, but their cultures are too backwards right now to really become a strong force of life. The west is simply too far ahead. The way Africans are raised will have to change before that's to happen.
There's huge loads of Africans living in other countries however, and they receive better education. That does provide them with a mental development which would be more or less fit for such movements. They do however live in a society that differs from their African roots. Even if Foday were to start a revolution tomorrow, it would be more like any other type of anti-western civilization revolution than really an uproar from the African culture to bring their black socialism. It's simply terrorism; "fuck the system" and all that. These people are more western than they think; their extremist thoughts are more against the establishment than for the things they say they preach. Remember there's plenty of whites as well who, especially in puberty, go through phases of anti-establishment sympathies.
There's not going to be a black revolution. Not in the sense of black culture coming to a boiling point where it might take over the west and start dominating. There might be some black terrorism and anti-establishment though, but that'll come from semi-westernalized people, not from 'authentic' Africans or muslims. Such movements are more internalized in the west than we think it is. It's not like there's a battle between two camps, because the borders can't be defined clearly. So what is it exactly that these extremists wish to overthrow? You tell me. I say it's a selfdestructive battle.

1. Yes. Egypt did have very large beautiful rock pyramids which established a new way of living across the world. lol
2. You must still be in basic sociology 101 because you are not recognizing the bigger picture. A lot of misery of for Africans is at the hands of Europeans, but to solely rely on that connection as to why a race is practically destroyed is just lazy, and won't get you anywhere.

You are a product of "government schools" (public schools) and they have only taught you the white man's his-story. That's why you don't know anything about the great accomplishments of black civilizations.
Ancient Egypt was the first great civilization and it was often lead by Egyptian blacks, Ethiopian blacks and Sudanese blacks.
Also, you have the Ghanian Empire in West Africa which later gave way to Mansa Musa's Islamic Empire called the Mali Empire. The Mali Empire was the most wealthy Empire in the whole world. When Mansa Musa heard that he could have his sins forgiven by going to Hajj in Mekkah, he immediately set forth on across the Sahara for the Holy City of Mekkah. He carried with him a large entourage, and distributed gold and wealth to every great city he passed, so much so that he greatly altered their economy's. This was in the 1 4th Century. And his successor, Abu Bakr, was obsessed with travelling West to find the new land (North America). He sent 400 ships to find the new land he believed existed in the West. When none of them came back, he was so determined that he lead the next expedition himself. They never returned. But today, in South America they have sculptures of West Africa faces which possibly means they were worshipped by the natives when they arrived in the Americans.
Then the Porteguese entered Africa around the 16th century, the white man was greatly impressed by their vast wealth and civilization. However, the white man did not come as a friend, he came as an arrogant conqueror. He came to enslave the black man and rob them of their resources.
Today, the white man has turned the African continent upside down and has them pinned in such a great debt it is hard to seem them prospering. What the white man does, is he offers crooked leaders loans, the leaders accept these loans that rarely reach the people, and as a condition for accepting the loans, they have to agree to all the conditions set forth by the white man (World Bank, IMF, World Trade Center, etc.). So their resources are devalued, their markets are open for the white man to come in, buy up, and overtake.
So this is the current condition of the black man in Africa. But I will tell you first hand, I have spent significant time in 2 West African nations and they are much more civilized than Americans. There, they deal with each other in great respect and consideration. They treat you with respect and dignity whether you are a traveler or a local. People treat each other like family, even if you don't know someone you are always there to help them and offer a kind word. The women are also treated with great love and respect, they have little money, but they have something more important...and that's heart. They also have a rich culture of music and art, which the white man has of course stolen and taken as his own. Everything from jazz, to hip-hop, to R&B, rock-n-roll, reggae, all of these are a product of something stolen from Africa.

How are you going to steal a culture? How is to produce new music, whether it's R&B, jazz or rock'n'roll, an act of theft? I didn't know people in Africa had been listening to jazz for centuries before it became popular in the west. And even if they were, how is it an act of theft if jazz breaks through in the west? As if when something great's invented (whether practical or metaphysical), it should not be used by anyone who's not ascribed to that group? Do you even realize the nature of your thoughts? According to your own thoughts, what business do you have in a mosque? Why should you listen to Lucky Dube when you accuse "the white man" of robbing the black man from his culture? Why pray to the God of the middle east? Is your own hypocricy finally starting to dawn before you?
"The black man" didn't have his culture taken from him. Do you even realize culture is not something you're simply "born with," and that it's not a simple matter of black or white, in or out? Culture is an endless chain of interactions between people. It is not something solid and unchangable. It is not something that 'belongs' to certain people, and it is not something others must keep their hands off. If it were, you'd be the very first person to be blamed for breaking those rules.

I have to say that I agree to a great extent, but not completely. There are some things that are intrinsically racial in nature that can not be avoided. I think holding something against a group based strictly on their race is not intelligent, but that does not mean we should ignore race completely.

1.Egypt was the first great civilization and in fact Egypt taught the some of the first great white civilizations how to run theirs. Therefore, yes, you could argue that Egypt in fact did establish new ways of living across the world. Egypt has arguably one of the richest recorded histories of all time.
2. No sir. I was actually at the top of my class in socio 101. I don't think anyone is relying SOLELY on white people as the cause for the state of many blacks in America, but the links to the whites in question as causing the greatest harm simply can not be denied. Thats akin to denying the holocaust. A race being "practically destroyed" as you put it is evidence of outside forces acting upon it. Generally speaking, an entire race is not going to destroy itself. Further there is heavy documentation that shows that whites have done the greatest harm. This is not to say that whites are inherently evil necessarily but downplaying the role that whites have played in this systematic destruction is fool hearted to say the least.

You probably didn't realize you put it this precisely, but the way you stated it:
- black misery was caused by the Europeans (the people or their governments)
- black misery was caused by the American government
I know you probably didn't put it like this on purpose, but the way you put it, you make it seem as if you think the people in the USA have nothing to be blamed for. But if it weren't for them, then who were the ones who kept slavery and racial segregation going for so long?
Anyway, I just thought these words were rather odd in their precise context. I'm just showing how easy it is to point the finger, even without noticing it and without bad intentions.
