Exactly one year and three days ago, Bishop Lamont made history by dropping his groundbreaking project "N*gger Noize" on Dubcnn for free download. "N*gger Noize" featured production from 9th Wonder, Focus, Scott Storch and DJ Khalil, and appearances from Mike Ant, Stacee Adams, PR1ME and Indef.
After a downright painful year-long wait, today we're proud to present the untagged version of the street album that started it all. This new version comes packaged with the thought-provoking cut "American Dreams", produced by Focus! There's also brand-new artwork, so be sure to check the covers out.
We know you've all been dying to hear the CD, so that's enough talking. Download it, for free as always, below! We'd like to give a special shout out to project managers TakeOff Productions for all of their work on this release.

Up In Smoke Tour 2, Dre and Warren G working on an album, Detox and Reformation. All sounds too good to be true. I'll believe it when I see it.
It's crazy that the Dre beat on Pope Mobile is from Chronic 2001 sessions. I knew it was old but not that old.

Dubcnn: The intro of “Pope Mobile” is a Dr. Dre production. Tell us about how you got that on there…
That’s old! That’s from when he was working on “Chronic 2001”. That nigga pulled it up for me. We were going through beats, and by mistake ran into that one. He’s like, “Yo, this is old, if you want it you can have it!” I said, “Yo, I wanna put it on some shit!” That shit was so fresh to me, and Bilal was actually already on there. It fit perfectly with what I wanted to do for the “Pope Mobile”. I found me something so chuuch-ified to open it up! It’s crazy how shit works man. That shit’s been there since before “2001”.

That’s no indication of Dre’s new sound. It was a throwback, and I loved the energy from it. Just thinking about what that was then, and how Bilal was skitzing on that shit so fly, I was like, *whispers* “Yo, I need that shit.” Then I think of Paul Mooney’s shit…

it was funny to hear my username :laugh: anyway, so who i gotta kill part 2 is still alive; he doesn't have to rap on old instrumentals, but it would be great if he could to a jackin' for beats kind of thing ;) even if it's just for one track.
also it was good to hear that up in smoke tour part 2 is actually being planned! hope it's not just going to be based in the USA though.
and i assume that the whoo kid street album is coming before calitroit metropolis?

Man, HisStory was cold when it dropped but it just got a hell of a lot colder. The way the beat just hangs in the beginning is beautiful. Major props on this.
If Bishop doesn't drop a classic CD with The Reformation I don't think he'll ever drop one but me thinks that shit will be banging crazy.

nice job on picking the fan questions and updating it with your own by the way; i know that the person who stole the submitted questions from this forum was an amateur interviewer but i was still a little bit worried that there wouldn't be many interesting questions left for the dubcnn interview (even though some fan questions were submitted through myspace).
but the final result is good, so props for that ;)
