Eddie brought you the world premiere of the track on the "West Coast Grind" radio show in the update below, and we're already back with the full track available for download in MP3. This is the official first single from Crooked I's upcoming solo album "B.O.S.S.".
The track features Akon on the hook, is entitled "Dream Big", and was produced by Konvict Muzik producer Detail. This should be the official signal for the wheels to start rolling on Crooked I's album, the single is here, so it's time to push. Check out "Dream Big" below:

Seriously though, this song is cool. I don't think it will make much noise on the commercial tip though. I think a lot of people are going to expect more because everyone's been waiting for so long so it puts him in a lose, lose situation. I give him props for atleast dropping something.

I like it. The production is missing some bassline like others said but this might not be the final version. Crooked spits dope as usual, only thing is the Akon hook. I'm a big fan of Akon but it sounds like he just emailed the hook.
In terms of this being a single, I don't see it blowing up, NWA was much better for that.

Sounds decent after giving it two spins. I have to admit, I was expecting more from his Akon-featured single.
I remember that "Boom Boom Clap", "Straight Bosses" and "New West Anthem" made MUCH more of an impact on me than "Dream Big". Those three songs really had the potential to blow up (in my opinion). With the right push & promotion, it was possible.
I think "Dream Big" will make some noise on US radio stations, but nothing too big. I hope I'm wrong though.
Anyhow, I give a fuck about a single. All I'm REALLY interested in is hearing the album 8)

Definately been waiting a long time for this, and to me it was worth the wait. This is some quality shit right here. Akon laid down a nice hook and Crooked I spit some nice verses. I like that beat too. All around a solid track that should get some big spins. The album needs to be coming out soon though, they can't wait that long or like anything, it will lose steam. 4/5

Games song will only get spins cause theres a lot of games fans out there that want it played. Games will go gold whereas Crooked will do well to push 100k. Games song just washed over me whereas Crookeds had some memorable lyrics and the hook, which lets both songs down, somehow stayed in my mind all day after only one listen.

In my opinion it's definitely a good track but not what I was expecting for Crook's long-awaited first single.
My two biggest problems with this are that the title/hook is too similar to Game's "Big Dreams", and that I can't stand Akon.

this is exactly how i was feeling. I was real disappointed. My expectations were very high the moment i heard the hook and beat. crook really deserves his shot, but this track coulda have been much more. It sounds like he is rapping at/down on you rather than to you which could hurt him when it comes to certain audiences. I felt like he was mad at me cuz he went through hard times. it seems like he is letting is image as a lyrical assassin get in the way of him making good songs. The emotion in his voice doesn't match the direction of the beat IMO. if he woulda took the emotion from my life pt2 and applied that formula on this, it would have came out better. For the record I really hope i am wrong and this track blows up

It's not as bad upon consecutive listens but it's conspicuous dude is holding back. He has so much more to offer. If he chooses the right music to fit his flow there is no limit to what he can do. I guess we'll find out if the album drops.

Pretty dope track, but Crooked's constant exaggerated over-pronunciation can get a little annoying at times.
yeah, it's mad annoying for me. Anyway, this track decent, but I don't see it doin' big... I don't like the hook, Crooked's pronunciation make me wanna turn that shit off. I liked Game's single more...
"Big Dreams", "Dream Big, "Dreams"... rappers gotta study dictionaries and come up with more original titles.
i agree with the title of the song,but whats wrong with his pronunciation? to me it makes crooked stand out more yell
Exactly, i love being able to hear what a rapper says, I can barely hear what lil wayne is trying to mumble, or 50 cent for that matter
Crook's flow is so perfected, you don't hear him slur words or fuck up his double ups like most rappers.
Yah, but Crooked sounds like he's slowing down his flow, and raising his voice like an English teacher talking to some senior citizen or something, almost like he's being sarcastic.

I'm not dissing ANYONE in this thread but the act of listening to a song again and liking it more than before is proposturous. Are you missing little things u didnt hear before that somehow make the song so much better than last time? The bare bones of the song which should be the reason u like or dislike the song are somehow hidden until later listens?

Ur favorite artist releases a song that isnt their style or just isnt a good song.. But wait, its ur favorite artist this cant be!!! Now comes the grasping. Ur ears start grasping to something, anything, that will release seratonin into ur brain. The way he raps offbeat, the way the instrumental doesnt mix with the vocals.. It's all a refreshing escape from the world of proper songs isnt it? Of course it is, your favorite artist would never put out a song that u dont like...
