With all that Dre talk, I would like to hear your opinion. In every Dre-era (NWA, Death Row, early Aftermath, 2001, Pre-Detox) there has been many great beats and some weak beats.
My choice is
Fire - 50 Cent feat. Young Buck & Nicole Scherzinger
I mean WTF was that? Absolutely under Dre's average beats!
-
Probably something bland and unmemorable, like one of the ones off Jay-Z's record (apart from Trouble)
-
I liked that "Fire" beat... The worst production must be one of the songs off "Encore".

lol yeah fire comes to mind

i wouldn't agree i got the instrumental of that track and although its kinda mainstream and basic, its perfectly mixed and bangs hard - some nice stuff going on the drums and this really crazy bass that comes in too. if i could include the other track on curtis (i know its not properly credited as produced by dre) - i'd probably go with that - 'come and go'. it's not awful awful and its nicely mixed obviously, but its hella basic and boring to me. especially the vocals on the chorus - really terrible.
-
I don't know one of his recentish beats, that one with Missy Elliot on Busta's album comes to mind. If you made a top ten of Dre's worst beats I'd bet that most if not all would be from after 2000.
-
I would have to agree .. that Fire joint is shit.. but Come & Go is horrible too..

Yes I got the instrumental too. And yess, I heard it on a good system. But that shit is just horrible to me.

Yeah his worst beat to me is "Fire". After that probably Eminem "Evil Deeds" then Busta Rhymes & Missy Elliot - "How We Do It Over Here"

-
Fire is the worst track he ever produced, I totally agree, that shit was horrible

that shit pales in compaison to the rest of his shit. but he has a lot of great shit to cover it.

I know I'll get a lot of hate for this but I always hated the beat to the song Knoc. It just seemed corny to me. Fire isn't that great either as many of you have pointed out.
-
would have to go with fire and a couple from jay z's album
-
One of the wackest productions from Dre must be Eve's "Satisfaction", i always hated that fuckin bullshit.

Fire must have been some beat made in 2 minutes, that shit SUCKS!
-
Lost Ones, 30 somethin, boss up, round here, imagine, hold on, U aint going nowhere, No stoppin Carson, that Papoose track, and that God Body track, Grow Up. Fire I did not think was that bad, at least it wasn't a slow simple beat with a boring piano loop like all the others.
I can understand why people say these beats are dope, because they are ok chilled out beats but if you listened to these tracks and then a selection off Dre tracks from any time pre 2006, the beats I mentioned sound terrible.
The problem with the beats I mentioned they all have boring instruments, boring melodies and they are very basic.

really? i think all the beats he gave Eve are on point.

i liked the beats from jays album...but yeah fire and a few other recent ones arent that great
