alright, i need to know what some of the best hi-hop beat programs are. i already have fruity loops 3, but it aint really good when it comes to making melodys & chorus'. only like drum loops. can anyone tell me a new program to work with, or how to do new stuff with fruity loops ?

IMO, it is Hip Hop eJay 2... which I own. It's really easy, and you can make some really tight beats there.

Sequencer : Logic Platinum 5.0, Steinberg Cubase Essex, Reason (i dont like it though)
Sampler: Logic Platinum 5.0, Nemesys Gigasampler 2.5, Reason.
Instruments: AKAI-Discs, Quality Wave Sample Discs, Vinyls (For Sampling)
Masteing: Steinberg Wavelab 4.0
Mixing: Steingberg Nuendo 1.5, Protools

Instruments: I Got Over 140 AKAI-Discs To Choose Between.... (even Though I Dont Use More Then 30-40 Of Them)

now theese equipments ive written are sum professional stuff and cost as much as hardware tools, its all easy to find on internet, exept the akai-discs, witch are maby the most important... the akai discs have the instruments you hear when you hear the beat...

WhY Software man? I mean get an Roland JV 1010 and a MIDI controler, and your shit, u can get all that for 300$ maybe even less...and u can get the rest of the shit u need with programs like Sampler/Sequencer.. ETC..I was gonna buy a keyboard, but one of my homies which is a professional said this is way better, I couldnt find a pic of a MIDI controler, if I do I would post it but your choice..peace

the rack and mixing programs and sequencer are hilarius... i would still say that reason is shit...

shut the fuck up, you dont know wut the fuck ur talking about mister. "REAL PRODUCER PLEASE HELP ME FIND A KEYBOARD" ... man for 300$ worth of real equipment, you can make better shit with FruityLoops... and to Ibo, if this dude can't produce with FruityLoops, i mean he can pretty much foreget about all the expert software u mentioned. If you want software, FruityLoops is the best, especially for free. Ejay is cheat software. U can either use the playlist to sequence, but i prefer Magix Music Maker (for now while i'm still using cheap as shit, it's like 40 bucks for that program). Anyways, if you wanna hear wut i've been able to do with fruityloops, peep http://www.hubba.com/phiasko .. i got 130 beats up there all made with FruityLoops, so trust me, it's possible.... pz!
