Eastwood has been one of the West Coasts hottest talents for some time now and since his time on Death Row (Tha Row) his chances to release an album have been limited.
With his recent collaborations with In A Zone productions and his prominent work with Meech Wells - including his solo mixtape Loyalty Or Nuthin - Eastwood has caught the ear of those that count and is ready to unveil a deal that will see him on a new label distributed by Koch.
Today we have a track that sees Eastwood link up once again with Meech Wells and Knucklehead in the form of "We Ballin."

Ironically Eastwood & Crooked I did a collabo track called "We Ballin" also back in Tha Row days.
I was gonna say that them two should hook up again and do a "We Ballin, pt. 2".
One way or another, they should hook up again and bang out a few more tracks together. They complement each other quite nicely whenever they collaborate. Get Meech Wells to produce it, and I'm sure it'll be a certified banger.

Eastwood is a talent and it would have been better if he would have got a deal like Game (he was working with Blackwallstreet before) with Geffen, however, at least we'll get a quality album out of Koch even though it's going to be more of an uphill climb with the promotion. Jim Jones was on Koch and got some video airplay and moved some serious units so maybe East can tear it up on Koch then use this as his stepping stone to Interscope. Big up to Eastwood!

This news just made me week man, straight up. People say what they want about Koch, but they'll get your album out there. This is a SMART move for Eastwood and I'm looking forward to the album, been waiting since I heard Dysfunktional Family. Props!

When Game was tryna come up he took matters into his own hands. Dude went out to New York and hooked up with everybody! Before his album even came out he had songs with Fabolous, Dipset, Mobb Deep, Alchemist, Loon, Hi-Tek, etc etc etc. Grinding is what separates him from guys like Hittman.

Definitely, I think East is one of the few "new west" artists that can actually make successful cross-over records that are gangster, but commercial at the same time. From what I've heard from East and Meech in the last year really show that they are capable of reaching the mainstream.
