It is definitely a great album, no bias. I think he successfully walked the tight rope by keepin underground content but having a mainstream-influenced sound.

This album will be a worthwhile investment. 3:16 and Murrays Revenge still sound as good now as they did when I first heard them.

Just got done giving it a first spin and for the most part it's nice.
It's a little different from his last two records - which I loved - but it's still a solid album. After the first 6 tracks I was blown away, but then the album took a dip and a slight change in direction.
I didn't like track 9, it seemed a little forced, and not in place for a Murs record. The only other track I wasn't feeling was 11, that beat was just too over the place for my liking.
Overall, Murs done a great job as usual, but a few tracks didn't feel like they belong on your typical Murs record. My only hitch was it wasn't such a fluid album as the last two with the arrival of too many different sounds.
I will be copping this album.

I get what you are sayin...there are several different sounds on this album. In order to reach the so-called "urban" L.A. fanbase, he had to do a few tracks that were more West Coast style...to reach the MTV crowd, he had to do a few that were rock influenced. To reach his typical crowd, as well as the "East Coast" or lyrical/underground crowd, he did the 9th tracks, which are the majority of the album. To reach the club heads, he did "Lookin fly" with Will. With that, I think some songs may not hit everyone, because it's hard to reach EVERY crowd in that way...but he definitely didn't change his style or content one bit, which is what many people were afraid of happening.
