Mannn did I ever!?

-Johnny J was one of the first producers I ever got to continuously work with..
(there was also Julio G and Battlecat)

>>>I Recorded on Several AEOM tracks before 2pac Turned Them Into Classics
(One of them was "How Do You Want It".. I fell in love with the Quincy Jones Sample!)

if you want to check my Pedigree on this.. look up Ronnie King,
Johnny J's co-producer on all the hits.. and also the producer of my first 3 radio hits as Shady Montage.

A lot of gems were recorded in J's mansion.. a lot of beers by the pool..
and for the record, JJ has over 800 Pac songs on 3.5 floppies!! Heard and seen with my own eyes!!
Bizzy Bone used to come through and get down.. mann, I can't believe my dawg is resting!

Peace & Respect.

What's up?

How many tracks did you do with Johnny J?  Do you still have the AEOM tracks you recorded?

When was the last time you talk to Johnny J?

Whaddup Gs..

I honestly have no idea how many tracks I recorded with Johnny.. its too many!
I would go over his house every weekend (I was in school at the time) and demo records..
in the same fashion I used to work with Julio G and Damizza (when we FIRST linked)..

The one's I remember off top were "How Do U Want It" and "Picture Me Rollin"
he let me hear the "All About You" instrumental but said I couldn't fu*k with it
so he made me another track with a different Cameo sample..
Pac ended up snatchin that one too but I never heard it anywhere.

All of the songs rest on cassette tape in an orange and brown Nike box up in my storage w
the rest of my old valuables.. You make me wanna dig that sh*t up and reminisce.

I will be droppin a few samples of some Pac tracks you never heard and never heard like this,
on Wednesday's show.. Be sure not to miss it!

On another note, for those that don't know.. I got to hear "Hit Em Up" before it dropped..
I also appear in both "So Many Tears" and "Dear MaMa" music videos.

I keep Westcoast History running through me.. since age 11.

"The intricate designs of my lethal lines, criminal rhymes, from the mind of a Thug shakin state-time" -- 2pac

I don't know if I wanna release any of that material to the public, as they were demos.
I have a complex about releasing material I know isn't complete or fully up to par..

but sh*t I'll consider it..

I will be leaking some of the Pac from my collection 2mrw nite.. we can start there!

It's funny how I even got connected with him..

My very 1st professional manager was an old mentor of his..
JJ produced for his 1st artist, the orignal Biggie Smalls (later Shadowcast)
..they lost touch..
ran back into each other.. and my manager came up with the good idea to introduce us..

"WHO THE FU*K IS THIS KID!?" he yelled out..

We had just played him a song I had wrote and produced with a Prince sample in it..
he was trippin because of my age and the quality of the work..

from then on it was sessions every weekend! I really wish we could've released some of that sh*t!

Pac came and tore those beats to shreds..
I had to find additional producers when Pac got out.. lol..  he locked JJ down.

JJ blew up.. and the rest is history..

If you miss the airing.. there will be a re-broadcast and eventually a stream available.

There is one song I'm including in the show that JJ produced..
You heard the version that came out but you never heard it how Pac originally wrote it!

First off.. I guess your expectations were too high..
I expect anyone on this forum to have damn near EVERY Pac song that released..
but you are forgetting that there is a world outside of DUBCC.. and this is new to them.

If you heard it before.. great.. chill and enjoy it.. I really don't give a damn where it came from and what its on..
that's not the point.. For example "How Do You Want It" with Pac singin it... Everybody aint hear that.. so let them listen in peace..

and to the homie talking about I'm disrespecting his grave, you must not know much about the man then.
for you to be taking a show that serious... u have serious issues homie.. go solve em.

Well, he is partially right..
There is a market for underground/og version projects,
that is why the Makaveli series was so extensive and sought after in the 90s.

In recognition of this fact I am releasing "Informal Introduction OG" on Dec.16
As far as the demos.. I don't know if that will happen but I won't say 'never'.

and LoL @ you knowin about podcast edits.. good sh*t.

Yo Shade, I don't know if you honestly didn't know that people had all these tracks or what, but you shouldn't have got everyone's hopes up like that.  You knew you weren't going to play anything rare, that just wasn't right.  I'm starting to doubt what you've done with 2Pac/Johnny J.  You claim you have all these pre-All Eyez On Me tracks and several of these OG Pac/Johnny J tracks, yet you can't be bothered to go get them from your safe deposit box and use them on your dedication show to 2pac and Johnny J?  This is 2pac, you have an etching of the man on your mirror, you obviously revere the man greatly, yet you can't bother to go find these historic tracks you were on with the legend?  You have no problem releasing OGs from Informal Introduction and other projects you have legitimately been on, but these Pac OGs you can't bother with....huh?  Doesn't make any sense.

Not trying to hate man, it's cool you come on here and post, but from now on, you are going to be hounded nonstop for these tracks because of all these hardcore pac fans.  So you are either going to have to A) post some snippets/come up with these tracks for download, or B) Admit to everyone that you were bullshittin.  I hope it's option A, but some of your actions makes me think option B is more appropriate.

Thanx to everyone who tuned in.. At least SOMEBODY is doing something for the Legend
instead of smearing his name and sitting around watchin everyone do it without saying anything..

If you heard the tracks in the show.. again.. pat yourself on the back and then immediately STFU.
I hate to come off stern but some of you are starting to act your age and need to take a page out of Bishop's book (Grow the F Up!)

Realize that there is a world outside of DUBCC that consists of Millions upon Millions of people..
People who have never heard 80% of what was played on the show last night.. If you have, Great for you.

And Soopafly, I've been reserving comment on you for quite some time but now you done gone and done it for yourself..
FIRST OFF.. DON'T EVER CROSS YOUR LIPS TO DISRESPECT ME IN THE SAME SENTENCE AS JOHNNY J.
I don't give a fu*k if you didn't care for the show but you will not poise your Soopa DSL's to smear my words about my
experience with Johnny J.. On my Family, if he was here he would slap the Soopafly thoughts out of your head for that shit..
that's when u take your very suspect fanfare way too far.  You better go listen to Whoopty Whoop before I tell you
wat Soopafly really thinks of the way you act on here..

Not tryin to hate.. yet you joined all the other bottomfeeders who will be scrapin up lunch-money
while I hit my 4TH country this year, next month!!

Peace & Respect (2 Those Who Deserve It).

Sheist - Didn't mean to offend you that much homie, it wasn't intended.  I was just saying, now that you've stated you've got unreleased Pac, whether it be true or not, you are going to constantly get bombarded on here by these Pac groupies for you to post some of it, so just be prepared....i'd like to hear some of it myself.

I still stand by my original thought that you shouldn't have gotton everyone's hopes up on here that they were going to hear some new unheard 2pac on your show when, I think deep down, you knew that wasn't the case.  Granted, there are people outside dubcc.com who might not have heard some of that stuff, but everyone on these boards have, and that's who were reading your post.

I listen to Dat Woopty Woop everyday, so there will be no problem with me honoring your wishes.....the legend Soopafly HAS worked with 2Pac, and that is 100% documented.

Man, I haven't had a chance to listen to the show yet but it seems like some of you all are taking the specific content of this show way too seriously.  I mean, I know some of you all are dissapointed you didn't hear any tracks that were 100% completely unheard, but I think you're kinda missing the point of what the show was.  I mean, Shade took the time to put together a tribute show for everyone to listen to.  We're all going to get to hear more unheard Pac music eventually anyway.  In light of Johnny J's recent passing, this thread just seems like the wrong thread to use to argue over unheard 2pac tracks.

the fact is the ad for the show said never-heard before music but the show had nothing new.
money b advertised his tribute show would have never-heard before music music and yes it had new 2pac songs
if i wanna listen to leaked 2pac then i just go on youtube where every unreleased you played is there, thats where the world outside of DUBCC go to listen them

Yall really need to get a grip..
to criticize a Tribute simply because you already heard the tracks is not only childish, it's ignorant.

If you heard the music before then "never-heard-before" obviously wouldn't apply to you, now would it?
Sorry I didn't make the show specifically tailored-made for you kids who are whining right now..
LMFAO that some of you are pissy cause you thought this was gonna be a new Pac album droppin on the air..
..also, if you never posted to me before and this thread is your first time getting @ me on sum negative shit,
at least introduce yourself.. I like to be familiar with my bitches so I can address them formally.. it's only respectful  ;)

>>>Furthermore

I've sat back and watched you criticize nearly every Westcoast artist that exists, on this forum..
Some of us artists actually give a shit enough to share ANYTHING Westcoast with the true fans,
yet you hound Glasses Malone, Bishop Lamont, Crooked I, Snoop, The Game, you name em.. ur dissin em..

Now.. what happens when these same artists say fuck you, the same way you are virtually doin it to them
and no longer bother to interact with you, or share ANYTHING Westcoast with you
..yes, even at the expense of your loss of support (but at that point, fuck your support, right?)

What do you do then, when you are forced to talk to each other? LoL..

Johnny J, Treach & Napoleon are the only ones that I know of.
Napoleon still talks about Pac in his Muslim speeches, Johnny J was talking about Pac in propably every interview I read/watched and Treach continues to give 2Pac-tributes in his shows.
One of the only ones that were real from Pac's "death row era posse".
Of course you can't forget Shock G & Money-B but they are really really underground...even digitally.

As for this whole hating...how can you hate for someone doing a tribute show?
Real mature guys, keep it going and you'll be Soopafly DPGC's with your idols wanting to slap you.

Ok...i guess a better question would be how come none of this stuff ever sees the light of day?  That's cool that some of the stuff you got will be released on your mixtape, but I can't remember the last time you did a feature on an official album with some of these westcoast guys you work with.  Do all your songs just not make the final album cut?  When you released "Where I Wanna Be", "Wake Up", and "John Doe" it looked like you were gonna be a major player on the westcoast, but then it seemed like you took a step back from collabing with the mainstream guys, i was just wondering if anything happened in particular to cause this.

Also, another unrelated question, what happened back when you were doing stuff with Johnny J that made you guys part ways causing the songs you 2 did together to never get released?  I know him and Pac hooking back up probably occupied alot of his time, but after a while, he went back to doing things with Bizzy Bone and forming Clockwork entertainment.  I was wondering why you didn't do more work with him or try to get at him and his new label and why the demos you made never saw any kind of a release.

I didn't take a step back.. I just kept moving and really never looked back.
MCA went bankrupt in the middle of my campaign.. that's why my original situation toppled..
after that, which was my 7th Major Deal by this point, I didn't want to go that route anymore..
so I went straight Indie.. in doing this certain things change:

Clearances, Releases, Signing-Off:  Go read up on it, not about to run down this long subject - this is why certain songs never see light.. it is wat it is.
Emphasis on Digital Releases rather than Hardcopy: although I will still release a few hardcopy projects in the future, most will be Digi..
Emphasis on International Promotions rather than Domestic: Without a major, you must buy your way onto MTV, BET so forth and on..
with records not selling like they used to, why would I pay all that money when I could focus on an indie campaign that can easily turn 1500 into 25K?
so without mainstream promo u lose interest from domestic areas.. I jumped shipped and went the International route, more money more tours.. TQ will agree.

As far as Johnny J..  After Pac was released I rarely seen J anymore.
When TQ signed to Cash Money I rarely seen him anymore..
folks just get busy doing what they are doing.. and then shit took off for me after 2000 and I then I was always gone.
I do wish I could've saw him more but we can't help certain events sometimes. I am satisfied with our last memory together though, it was a good one.

Demos won't see the light of day if they aren't recorded professionally.
I have no interest in releasing material I literally recorded in someone's basement or makeshift bathroom booth..
I have an archive of hundreds upon hundreds demos.. from SM to SS..
everything we record will not release.. it's just how the industry works..
it's easy to be on the outside and say just drop it..  how bout just drop a lawsuit?

Interesting.....well, hopefully with more of the westcoast vets going independent, it will be easier for you to hook up with some of these people again without all the label politics involved.  I'd love to see you on a bigger artist's album, like Warren G or DJ Quik.
