So much for not taking surgery cause preseason is more important ( ;D). Well, he's entering his 13th season. More of this will happen from now on. Better hope for Bynum to mature quickly, so he'll have another center to ride on.

,” Bryant “expects to play tomorrow” against Charlotte in Anaheim

On whether he’ll play tomorrow: “If I’m good to go, I’ll go. I don’t see why not.” Bryant added that he “should be fine” for the opener, not seeming concerned at all.

He wasn’t convinced he was going to be OK until this morning, when there was no swelling and the movement was pretty good. He’s putting weight and pressure on it already.
Bryant didn’t sleep much last night, opting to get up every once in a while to stretch out and test his knee.

Fair enough, but let me ask you this: How is that wrong? A player is limited when he gets injuried and shouldn't be expected to play 100%, but if a player does fight through it and helps his team to a victory wouldn't that show the warrior in him?

It could...or it could make some (Kobe types) more likely to draw attention to injuries by cringing on every play. Scratch that, cringing on defense.....but playing perfectly fine on offense. Until he's running back down the court on D again....then more cringing. lol. Everybody wants to be the injured superhero i guess. lol

Not to mention, youre defending Kobe when i was taking a shot at NIK. NIK likes to draw attention to Kobe's little scratches every chance he gets so that he has an excuse if the Lakers lose.

lol right. My team is run too well to be dying. We've been the model franchise in the NBA the last 10 yrs. Theyre just patient and dont tend to make desperation moves. They know theyll be a strong team, and can afford to wait until theres a free agent class with players or a player they want. They arent like the Lakers. They dont simply go for Superstars and headlines. They build teams to win championships, not just put fans in seats.

You don't make any sense...Lakers are the greatest AND most glorified sports franchise GLOBALLY. Just because no one likes to watch the boring ass Spurs play doesn't mean the Lakers can't be a remarkably efficient franchise, known for being all about the rings, AND be an entertaining team to watch at the same time...we only accept quality basketball in LA and San Antonio can only wish to attain our level of success throughout the years. How many franchises do you know that started rebuilding in
04-'05 and were contenders for the championship 3 years later. LOL. Don't get mad cuz my team shits on yours in every way possible. 8)

Either way, Lakers>>>Spurs. Kobe>>>Duncan. 15>>>4. Get over it.

Ill give you 1.5 out of 3 there Scittles. Lakers > Spurs (historically). Spurs > Lakers (recent history  ;)). Duncan = Best PF of all time, Kobe = 2nd best SG of all time (maybe 3rd). So when they make an ALL NBA starting 5, Duncans chances of being included are greater then Kobe's. But I will give you the, 15>4. Even though most of those were before you were born.

threepeat>one and done every year. the recent Spurs arent even a dynasty...as for the Celtics,  they're nowhere near the Lakers as a collective franchise. Lakers never had a 20 year drought ala Boston and have put together way more historic and globally recognized dynasties. 8)

Lakers will end this decade with more titles, while the Spurs will end it being irrelevant in title talks...its obvious that the Kobe-Shaq era shits all over the Duncan-Parker-Ginobli era, and you can't stand it. Spurs=done.

The SHAQ/kobe era was great for the Lakers, no doubt. But like I said, once Shaq left....that era died and so did the Kobe Lakers. Theyve finally got a team thats good....but were irrelevent in the west for how long after Shaq left? You cant claim to be dominant for a decade when half of the decade was spent as a playoff doormat for actual contenders. The Spurs have been a constant contender every year for the last decade. The Spurs have been more consistant....the Lakers have been up and down.

id take being competitive every year for 10 years strait and winning 4 titles.....over a 3 peat and being irrelevant for the other half of the decade.

Lakers only missed the playoffs ONCE through all that...so what you're saying doesnt make sense. The fact that we completely rebuilt a contender in the span of 3 years makes us even more remarkable.

youre forgetting that NIK thinks he has a rational argument as to why the Lakers will win the title every year. Funny how his argument is always SO rational.....yet never seems to come true.

the lakers are NOT "the greatest AND most glorified sports franchise GLOBALLY"...that prestige probably belongs to the yankees (although they havent done shit recently) or some soccer club in england.  the manchester united claim to have 330M fans world wide :D

LMAO@Yankees being bigger than the Lakers GLOBALLY...and LMAO@a soccer club being bigger GLOBALLY when no one in America even gives a fuck about soccer.

...you do know that soccer is the most popular sport in the WORLD, right?

just cause the majority of people in the US dont follow it, doesnt mean the rest of the world is like us.

is it that big of a shock to you, to think that THE MOST POPULAR SPORT IN THE WORLD might have THE BEST AND MOST POPULAR FRANCHISE in the world??

i couldnt even name ONE player from ANY soccer club, except beckham...but that DOESNT mean that its not a wildy popular sport in other parts most of the world.

a quick search of google for "most popular sports franchise in the world" brought up three teams...and i know youre about to go ape shit, nik.  lol

the Dallas cowboys
the New York yankees
and Manchester United.

take that take that ;D

EDIT:  upon more searching, the general consensus is that manchester united is the biggest sports club in the world.   :-*

^I still think Lakers are a bigger name globally...don't forget, US is the entertainment capital of the world, and everyone outside of the country looks up to us in that sense. for instance, everyone in England knows who Kobe is, but pretty much NOBODY in the US can name one English soccer star.
