E-40 did that album the same way he did "My Ghetto Report Card"
One part is for the Bay fans and the other one for his mainstream public.
Theres a lot of likeness between this one and "My Ghetto Report Card", the first track introducing the album produced by Rick Rock sounds just like "Yay Area"
Overall I like most of the album except for a few cuts

1st listen, so far I like "My Ghetto Report Card" better. This is bangin', though. Fav. tracks are "The Ambassador", "I'm On One", "Got Rich Twice", "Pain No More", "Hustle", "40 Water", "Poor Man's Hydraulics", "The Recipe", "Earl". Definitely some tracks with little replay value ("Hood Boy" is absolutely God awful). Will be picking this up Tuesday (always have and will support 40 Water-the living legend).

The Ambassador (very dope) I’m On One, Poor Man’s Hydraulics, Got Rich Twice, Pain No More is banging, Wak up and Give her the keys are chill for mainstrem songs. The Recipe is banging, Earl is dope,Alcholism is crazy, And theres a few more songs that are good. I think this is better than his last album and is a above average album. The production is nuts on this, you gotta bang this in a good system to realy hear these beats 8) Just my thoughs....

This album is the best thing out this year, I can't fuckin believe it. I hoped for a "better" version of "My Ghetto Report Card" meaning with less skippers at the end. I thoug MGRC had a weak second half. Me being a fan of slappin hyphy music has to state, that this shit SLAPS from beginning to end with a few nice west coast sound intermezzo's. I expected such an album, with a lotta bass and dope crazy E-40 lyrics and he fullfilled that. I'm just happy with it. I will review this soon on my blog http://sichill-music.blogspot.com

but some of these beats are just embarrassing, look-at-me commercial shit
Lil Jon dropping the same shit... not to mention 40 selling out more with another track with T-Pain
Shawty Lo... tons of hook singers that sound the same.... he doesn't need this shit!!! he can hold his own
Rick Rock is the only one who can cross over to that simple commercial sound and make it sound dope
overall this entire album sounds the same, track for track, and the one with Too $hort is awful ( :'( )

Sounds pretty dope...I thought the single was hella watery n toooo formulaic.
I don't think it's really a problem, but damn, The Ambassador is nothin buy Yay Area Pt. 2....I mean damm, samples the Digable Planets once again (just as in Candy), same formula with the lyrics behind the beat, the drums hit the same way, same vibe, etc etc etc...it knocks, but it's obvious they were tryin to remake it.
I think "Sliding down the pole" will only be dope to club heads...I'd definitely play it on a club tip, no question.

Yeah, How could he take sweat box off??? He posted a video blog about the song on DUBCNN?? It dosent make sense? Easilly could of replaced a few songs on there. Agreed "Sweat Box" would knock in the club! Cant belive he took it off, its a great song. Women just wanna shake there ass to it. BTW i was really suprised Lil Jon produced this, He actully made a really dope beat that dosent sound excatly the same as evry other one of his beats. That cant be said about "Break yo Ankles" that beat sounds excatlly the same as "Snap yo Fingers" feat 40

Yeah, 40 went gold after a few weeks, After "U and Dat" picked up real heavy. I think this album is better, but i dont see it reaching the succes of his last album. He was getting crazy spins with "U and Dat" and "Tell me when to go"....I hardlly hear any of 40s new singles on radio or tv. Its a shame cause this album is full of bangers..
Did anyone pick this up today? I curious to know if "Sweat Box" was left off the cd or if it was just left off the rip....
