Radio One's fourth annual Dirty Awards ended abruptly this evening when two separate altercations erupted reportedly between rapper Shawty Lo and members of the Grand Hustle camp tonight (November 24).
An eye witness told AllHipHop.com that the tension between the two crews mounted during Shawty Lo's performance, which included a diss version of Grand Hustle artist Yung LA's song "Ain't I."
As Lo performed his version with a chorus "Don't I," an audience member identified by an eyewitness as Capitol recording artist Alfamega, allegedly threw a chair onto the stage.
At that point, witnesses say another artist signed to the T.I.-helmed label stormed the stage, at which point authorities proceeded to break a fight.
T.I. himself took the stage shortly after the fight to accept an award following, a reported private conversation with Shawty-Lo, in which the Grammy Award-winning rapper/actor allegedly insisted once again, that the two end their long-running beef.
He proceeded to denounce the violence and negativity and assured the Dirty Awards audience that he did not condone the fighting.
Shortly thereafter, however, a second fight broke out as T.I. performed his verse from "Ain't I," allegedly substituting some lyrics with verbal jabs at Shawty Lo, with whom he has had an unpleasant relationship throughout the year.
Towards the end of the performance, another member of the Grand Hustle camp allegedly jumped off stage and assaulted a man witnesses said was Shawty Lo's brother.
Police officers then halted the awards show, using pepper spray to end the fight.
While the Dirty Awards audience was immediately evacuated, witnesses say other altercations may have occurred outside of the event.

Shawty Lo Speaks On Grand Hustle Altercation, Warns: “I Ain’t Lil Flip”
Shawty Lo’s innocent. As previously reported, members of T.I. and Lo’s crews got into an altercation during Radio One’s Fourth Annual Dirty Awards in Atlanta last night (11/25).
Early reports say the fight started when Lo taunted Grand Hustle with his own version of Yung L.A.’s “Ain’t I.” But to let the Bankhead rapper tell it, he didn’t instigate anything.
“I didn’t go and start nothing. If they rewind the cameras, they’ll see how it started,” Lo told MTV. “I’m a man. I respect every man as a man. If a man disrespects me, what am I supposed to do? T.I. needs to contain his people. We’re not standing down. I performed my music; 107.9 [one of the show's organizers] called me to perform. I didn’t come to start no beef with him. I gave Tip a shout out at the BET [Hip-Hop] Awards.”
Lo actually claims Tips’ camp started the fight. He tells MTV Alfamega and other Grand Hustle artists approached the stage and started ice grilling during his performance.
“Basically, I didn’t start saying anything about Tip,” Lo explained. “I was performing my music. During ‘Foolish,’ all of them was coming in front of the stage doing their mugging. After ‘Dunn, Dunn,’ I performed the dis record ‘Don’t I.’ That’s what made me perform the diss record. I ain’t gonna lie; they was disrespecting me. I wasn’t gonna let them disrespect me.”
Lo fittingly bumped into T.I. when his D4L crew was taken backstage minutes after the melee. The two briefly spoke in a private meeting, in which Tip apparently suggested they end their feud once and for all.
“He told me the beef was over with,” Lo told MTV. “I said, ‘If the beef was let go, me and you have to publicize it. We have to do it together.’ He agreed to do that, and we shook hands in the back room.”
Lo claims Tip then accepted an award on stage before taunting, “if somebody’s got a problem with me, do something better than me.” He then began performing “Ain’t I” with Yung L.A., sparking another altercation between the two crews. Tip wasn’t involved in any of the fights. Lo says he’s still willing to squash the beef, isn’t sure T.I.’s on the same page.
“[Me and Tip's conversation] ended on a positive note with the conversation,” Lo said. “I don’t know where he is [with the beef]. I guess he just be talking. One thing about it, Shawty Lo ain’t no punk. T.I. is just a rapper. He knows how to read a book good. Where I live is for real. I ain’t got nothing against homes. He’s got family, I got family. I’m not trying to kill him, he’s not trying to kill me. I got fans that love me. He’s not not gonna run all over me. I ain’t Lil’ Flip.”

I guess with the developments of last night it's clear that Alfamega is probably headed back to jail.
I'm sure we all know that Big Kuntry and Alfamega let Carlos and his people get the best of them last night resulting in them both being arrested and hauled off to jail at this years Dirty Awards. But the one person who's got me looking at him crazy is Alfamega. From what I am told, homie is out of jail on probation.
I'm not familiar with his back story, but it's common knowledge of Alfa's criminal background. And anyone who's been on probation understands that you MUST stay out of trouble or they will lock ya ass back up.
I can't help but wonder what last nights situation will do for his freedom. Will Alfamega head back to jail to finish the rest of his sentence?
I hear that the Grand Hustle/Capitol records artist's temper always gets the best of him and that people who all have a vested interest in the rapper are VERY concerned that Alfa might not be able to leave the 'thug life' alone.
What do you all think? Will he had back to jail or just get a slap on the wrist.
While questions on top of questions continue to pour in there's only one thing that we all know for sure. With all of this media coverage Radio One is getting you can best beleive that there will be a Dirty Awards 09.

Exclusive: SOHH Exclusive: Shawty Lo's Manager Wants Peace, "I'm Trying To Put Together A Concert W/ Grand Hustle & D4L"
After last night's violent scuffle between T.I.'s PSC/Grand Hustle crew and Shawty Lo's D4L camp went down, SOHH reached out to Lo's manager to find out how the Radio-One Dirty Awards in Atlanta turned into a police shutdown.
As previously reported by SOHH's Gyant Scoop, the annual ceremony erupted last night after both rapper's entourages began to allegedly taunt one another while on stage performing their sets. Despite gossip that the fight was a publicity stunt, Shawty's manager Johnnie Cabbell debunked these rumors.
"He didn't come with the intention of starting any things or feeding any negativity, he had even told his crew, 'Look, I need y'all to respect my set'. We ain't come to the show to support any beef or support anything that's going on 'cause there really ain't no beef," Johnnie told SOHH. "We came to the show to do whatever we had to do, get our award, you know what I'm saying and keep it moving."
While Tip is known for his verbal jabs and altercations with former rap rivals like Lil' Flip and DTP's Chaka Zulu, Johnnie claims it was his new artist Alfamega who off-set the show and was later arrested by Clayton County police.
"They were just really disrespecting the man on his set," Johnnie said. "The main person that was behind all that was Alfamega. I don't know if he was trying to prove a point, he trying to show Tip he got heart or he down, whatever, but he wasn't doing all that in the beginning. And now all of a sudden, tonight, he just changed into a whole different character. [Big] Kuntry throwing chairs on stage, like, when did you start being bad?"
Despite Tip's crew making eye contact at Shawty's team while performing on-stage, Johnnie claims the entourage remained calm.
"Even when they were doing their little [diss] song, ain't nobody trip, we just stood there," he added. "Alfamega jumped off the stage and striked Lo's brother. He didn't know it I don't think but he just hit the man for no reason. And that's when everything really got crazy and [police] started massing everybody."
While nothing has been made official, the manager hopes to resolve the tension before things get out of hand by uniting both crews.
"There's too many people already in the music industry and ain't nobody trying to lose their lives or lose another great person over some nonsense," Johnnie explained. "I'm pesonally trying to reach out to see if we can put together a big concert with Grand Hustle and the whole D4L camp to show people that, you know, we can work together and there ain't no beef. Show everything is squashed and let's move on."
Calls to T.I.'s label and the Clayton County Police Department were not immediately returned in regards to Alfamega's status.

During the third annual Dirty Awards Monday night at Atlanta's Georgia International Center, members of T.I.'s and Shawty Lo's camps got into a physical altercation, according to witnesses. Lo puts full blame on the head of Grand Hustle records, while Tip could not be reached for comment after the dustup.

As he was performing his hits such as "Dey Know" and "Dunn, Dunn," Lo said that members of Tip's Grand Hustle family, most notably artist Alfamega, came out of their seats, stood in front of the stage and started "mean mugging.'"

As Lo rapped the barb-riddled track some eyewitnesses said Tip's crew started throwing chairs onstage. While Shawty said he cannot be sure who threw the first chair, he thinks it was Big Kuntry.
A witness told MTV News that Tip's camp did not get hostile with Lo before "Don't I" and that Lo threw gas on the fire by calling out Grand Hustle's Yung L.A.
Shawty Lo and his D4L camp were taken to the back after the fracas and the show was temporarily suspended. Surprisingly, it resumed shortly after, and that's when things got strange. Lo said that he ran into T.I. backstage, and Tip suggested an immediate closed door meeting to which Lo agreed. They once again talked about ending their feud — "It's been squashed a few times," a source who asked not to be named said — which has been going on for over a year now.
"He told me the beef was over with," Lo recalled. "I said, 'If the beef was let go, me and you have to publicize it. We have to do it together.' He agreed to do that, and we shook hands in the back room."
But the tension was far from over. With the show back in session, Lo and his people were allowed back to their seats. Tip got onstage to accept an award, and during his speech, a witness said the King of the South declared that "if somebody's got a problem with me, do something better than me." Soon after that comment, Tip started performing "Ain't I" with Yung L.A. They didn't get through the entire record, because during the performance, Alfamega and others in the Grand Hustle camp got into a scuffle with Lo's D4L squadron.
While Lo said that Alfa jumped off the stage to approach Lo and his crew, a witness said that Alfa was never onstage, just standing to the side. But everyone agreed that a melee took place during "Ain't I," ending the Dirty Awards for good.
T.I. himself was never involved personally in either of the night's scuffles, and he was escorted offstage and out of the show once the mini brawl began. Lo maintained that the two parties were cut off by police before they ever came to actual blows. Police did start shooting pepper spray and the self-proclaimed King of Bankhead was hit in the eyes.
"They sprayed me in my face. I couldn't see nothing," Shawty Lo told.
David Banner was the host of the Dirty Awards, which were attended by Big Gipp, Soulja Boy Tell'em, Monica, Murphy Lee, Ludacris and Rick Ross. There are also witness reports that a member of DJ Drama's Aphilliate camp got into a fight with one of Young Jeezy's CTE camp members. Has Monday night put a black eye on the example of unity Atlanta's rappers had recently set?

Alfamega Gives His Side Of The Scuffle Between T.I.'s And Shawty Lo's Camps At Dirty Awards
'We came in there feeling good," MC says about his camp's behavior.
The Alfamega talking to MTV News early Wednesday morning (November 26) sounded a lot different from the Alfamega that looked wild-eyed and crazed in the pictures of the fracas that took place Monday night at the 2008 Dirty Awards. In the pictures, Mega was not backing down from police even after being hit with pepper spray. The only way to subdue the hulking MC from Bankhead, Georgia, was for a group of authorities to lay him face-down on the ground and put him in handcuffs.
Mega woke up Tuesday in his own bed, thankful not to be in jail. Hours after his altercation with Shawty Lo's D4L camp, the artist from T.I.'s Grand Hustle label was remorseful about the situation.
"First, I would like to give an apology to Steve Hazelwood and the whole Radio One [crew] and all the fans that came to see a good show," he said. "That's my part: I can only apologize for me and Grand Hustle."
Alfa said he read Shawty Lo's account of the incident on MTVNews.com and — to put it mildly — disagreed.
"God's honest truth, for real, we came in there feeling good," Mega said about his camp's demeanor at the Dirty Awards. "If you [look] at the beginning of the videotapes, it will show we didn't come on no hostility. When the disrespect started coming, we was eating it, then it got blatantly out of hand. That's when it all happened."
Shawty Lo claims while he was performing his set, Alfa, Big Kuntry and some other of T.I.'s clique came near to the front of the stage and started staring him down. Lo said he had no choice but to perform his T.I. dis record, "Don't I."
Mega disagreed: He said he and the crew were near the front of the stage all night.
"When anybody was performing, we was up, moving around," Alfa insisted. "We was rocking to Lo. He was doing his thing. Now when the dis song happened, I was like, 'What is dude doing?' "
Shortly after "Don't I" started, somebody from the crowd threw a chair at Lo and company. Mega said it wasn't him and he actually didn't see the chair being thrown.
"When I looked up, I seen the dude onstage with a chair in his hand," Alfa remembered. "Then I noticed it, somebody with us, a female, she was holding her face. Then I ran towards them. My attempt was to not fight, but to go up there and say, 'Somebody with you hit this girl.' By that time they had my man Kuntry in cuffs."
The melee that ensued briefly ended the show, and members of the Grand Hustle clique and Shawty Lo's D4L factions were escorted outside to cool down. Strangely enough, both parties were let back in and told to go back to their corners.
Later in the show, T.I. took the stage to accept an award and began performing "Ain't I" with Yung L.A. The record didn't last too long because Mega and D4L got into it again.
"It escalated, dawg," Alfa said, then implied that Lo is envious of T.I.'s success. "I think [Lo] feels like he ain't getting his just due. I can understand, but God will give you blessings, and your blessings might not as be as big as the next man. Be thankful for what you got.
"What happened with me — Tip had nothing to do with that," Alfa added, now going into what led to the night's second incident. "It just happened. They was performing the song, I was like, 'Let's have fun.' I start dancing. I'm feeling good. That's my boy, Yung L.A., he made it. I get on top of the table, Shawty gets on the table. Shawty fakes like he's gonna throw a drink on me. By then I stepped down."
Now this is where the show's organizers may have wished they'd come up with a different seating plan: Mega's and Lo's tables were just a few feet away from each other, so close that Mega said his feet didn't have to touch the ground to reach his foe.
"I could have made a move. I could have jumped from one table to the next," Mega recalled. "It really wasn't that far apart, probably about four or five feet. It was close enough that the drink in his hand could have splashed on me. I stepped down from the table, somebody said to something to me. I seen three or four more dudes like they gonna do me bodily harm. My first reaction — me being who I am, I am a funny dude, but hey, I can wake up — was to smack the dude. I didn't punch him, I smacked him. I swung on the other dudes, they started swinging. Grand Hustle didn't have nothing to do with that situation. It was on Alfamega."
From the looks of the pictures and video footage circulating on the Net, it was on and poppin' after that. The awards ended and Mega found himself being pepper-sprayed and in handcuffs.
"I saw the pictures," he said. "People think I was bleeding from the head, but that was the pepper spray. I have no bruises on me. I'm good."
Good, not great. Before hanging up, Mega once again apologized for his actions.
"I embarrassed, y'all," he said. "Certain people were subjected to the pepper spray. By them trying to spray me, that lingering fumes got other people. I'm embarrassed by the whole situation."
Fittingly enough, Mega's new single is going to be called "Warrior." His album, I Am Alfamega, comes out on January 13.
