Shits crrrrrazy...i just saw gas at $1.93 a gallon!
Who woulda thought this would be possible half a year ago, when the prices were up to $4.50? Not my ass. 8)

I never thought $2.50 was possible. Now I see areas with gas at $1.85. :o Went from $60 per fill up to $25. Road trip, anyone? And food prices are going down too, since it's costing less to transport. No more $1 menu at McDonald's every other night. ;D

Its 1.49 in some places in my city (Little Rock). I think certain subdivisions here have if not the cheapest, one of the cheapest gas price in the country.

This is just temporary. What will happen is once oil companies realize that Americans are ok with gas again, and stop talking their drive less, alternative energy b.s., the oil companies will raise prices again. Same shit in the early 90's, when Natural Gas was thought to be the future, same in the early 2000's, when everyone bought a SUV thinking that our oil man president would keep prices low. Now we are threatening to cut off oil, and like a bad ex-girlfriend, oil is playing tricks with us, wanting us to drive more again, get us hooked again and then, once we get that pussy, we hooked again.

I got gas at $1.60 last week.
There is also a promotion going on at the local grocery store. Every $10 spent on groceries gets 1 cent off at the pump upto 20 cents, and you can use up to 3 coupons at a time. So I could get gas at $1.00/gal. 8)

If shit keeps hitting the fan economically, I can't imagine OPEC cutting production anytime soon. I predict around $3 for a high next summer, that is, if we don't all lose our jobs before then. There have been tons of people coming into both of my jobs asking if we are hiring. America is in dire straits right now, as is much of the world.

I certainly haven't forgotten. It's one of the reasons why the American car companies are collapsing and why Toyota and Honda are still going strong. The Prius is sold out everywhere here. The Volt is a step in the right direction for Chevrolet. It can go 40 miles without using any gas.
