So I'm here. Learning the area. What's really good with the SFV?

Go to all of the beaches (Zuma, Malibu, Venice, etc.), go down to the city (santa monica pier, 3rd street, beverly hills, etc), check out hollywoods hottest night clubs (social, element, opera, etc.), check out the cool bars (if youre over 21), go to museums (the getty center is great!). There are also a bunch of cool getaways like san diego, vegas, catalina island, etc.... There are more things going on but that list should be quite sufficient and you will learn as you go.. Enjoy :D :)
P.S. If you smoke, check out the bomb weed clubs lol.. 8)

but, if you come back down a bit to Burbank, you'll be in the porn capitol of the country.....:)
Someone else said it earlier, take the metro or if you're driving, your best bet is to spend some time soaking up the culture in L.A. or even bring ya ass down to O.C. hit up the clubs, Knott's and Disneyland.....

I'm in Studio City since that's where the bulk of post production facilities are and it's close to my current gig. I'd rather live in over the hill, but I don't know what the commute is like. From what I've heard, if you're in the valley stay west or at least stay the fuck south of burbank blvd. studio city is cool but expensive for my taste.

LOL@all the 818 hate up in this bitch. Honestly, it's chill as fuck out here...there's more of a relaxed vibe in the SFV. Must be the OG 8). But really, it's the part of LA where you can just kick back and smoke blunts up the street, then roll to the park for some basketball.. lotsa trees and beautiful scenery all around you wherever you're at (especially south of the boulevard). Another good thing is that everything is close. The malls, the parks, movie theatres, restaurants, weed clubs, etc. Everything's right off the boulevard (Ventura, being the biggest one), which makes it even more chill. It's real out here in the WH...shit just feels much more natural than the city.

I dont know how "real" Woodland Hills is. It seems to be pretty removed from the rest of the valley and it's urban decay problems. Must be pretty nice out there though despite not being near anything important.

Whatttt? WH is in the center of everything in terms of the valley. Right off Ventura, not too secluded ala Calabassas, yet not too overpopulated with garbage ala Van Nuys. Plus, all the best clubs is out here. 8)

salinas california- the weather is nice here and its not all fucked up and paved over like la, but its a farming town where a lot of people's only job oppurtunities are working in the fields, so a lot of people are pretty restless
